I'm tired of searching on google, so I've decided to sign in this forum trying to find some answers for two problems in my Tasker.
- First - My profiles icons not changing according to task!!....always worked, but since I changed to Huawei P8 lite, never solved this problem. I've I uninstalled and reinstalled Tasker several times, but problems continues!!
- second (this is more important)...- I've made a task to activate "speakerphone" in a call based in the proximity sensor!! The rules are well done ( I create them based in several tips in de internet) and they turn green (so the conditions are met) but de speakerphone never turns on automatically, only if i click in the icon when in call.
My android version is 6.0 and Tasker is updated to last version....Thanks!!

Welcome to Android Forums.

Some clarification is needed in order to understand what you are asking.

#1 "icons not changing according to task"? Can you provide an example of the problem? Is this the icon assigned to the widget that is invoking the task?

#2 Does it work properly on a different phone? Can you provide an example?

Thank you Thom for the quick first attempt at help!!

- In a task, add, Tasker, Set Tasker Icon, built in icon (is the only choice!!!) and aply an icon. Then when the profile triggers, the icon in the status bar, is the same (the tasker icon itself). This is not working, and I've tried in another phone and it works;
- In the second problem (the most important), the speakerphone task, only I can say is that it used to work some time ago, in this phone (maybe before ota upgrade to 6.0.) I used a diferent trigger, based in the position of the phone, but this seems not no be the problem... as i said, in call, I jump to tasker and I can see the two conditions are green what I think the conditions are met and the problem must be another thing because the speakerphone stays off!! I have tested in another phone, the same way, and it works!!....strange thing!!!
Thank you for trying to help.!!

I never tried it before today.

You have to go to Home/Settings/Preferences/Monitor and set Run in Foreground On. When you do the Tasker icon in notifications will change to the new one and the persistent Tasker icon will be the new one.

I never run with this option On.

#2

Pretty tough to evaluate. Post the profile/task? Conflict perhaps with OK Google Now?

Thanks Thom!!
The first one I've already "run in foreground" on!! But...never mind...it's not important!!
The second one (most important)...maybe you are right!! I recently activate "ok Google" always listening when screen on!
I'll try to make a "workaround" or disable it to see if the problem is gone!!
Thanks for the big help!! Happy New Year to you!!

Here it goes:
Profile: Alta Voz (55)
State: Not Proximity Sensor
State: Call [ Type:Any Number:* ]
Enter: Alta Voz (66)
A1: Wait [ MS:0 Seconds:5 Minutes:0 Hours:0 Days:0 ]
A2: Speakerphone [ Set:On ]
PS: "Alta Voz " is "speakerphone" in Português, because there was a recently update who brought my own language!!

Thanks Thom!!

Thom,
Even creating an exit task, as you suggested, doesn't work!! Even if I remove proximity sensor as a state, and choose another state based in the position of the phone (example: On a table facing upwards) the speakerphone never turns on. But if I click on it during a call....voilá!! So I think the problem must not be in the speakerphone!!?? Nor even the proximity sensor or the accelerometer! Strange situation!!....and I used to love "Tasker"!!

So ... if you just execute the Task it turns the speakerphone on and if you rely on the profile to invoke the task it does not. Is that correct?

You can just highlight Proximity Sensor condition in the Profile and choose Delete. Later you can highlight the other condition and choose Add to reinstall the Proximity condition.

After you modified the profile/task did you go to the top of that section and do an Exit/Save First? This is how everything in Tasker gets coordinated when a change is made.

...no Thom, maybe I did not understand myself. When I say I click on it, I mean clicking in the icon from the screen referring to the call, where I can mute a call, dismiss, etc...(outside de tasker). Today I made i new test, during a call e went to notification bar, scroll down, click in tasker, go to that profile, enter the task and click "execute" (in the arrow from the bottom bar) and nothing hapens as always!!
I've been thinking if this problem is related to an app I've installed some time ago, to answere calls and other things in a smartwatch by bluetooth connection called "Mediatek SmartDevice"! Maybe I might go uninstall it to see if the problem end.
Thanks Thom,
