Hi, im also having this issue but my up key doesnt seem to do anything. the down key on the other hand works to get into the boot menu. example - phone is off, press down key and the power button takes me to the boot menu. if i try it with the up key, nothing happens (up key works fine generally)
the issue with my phone it that i go into the recovery mode, get the resting android robot and try your fix but nothing happens at all. try it with the up key and well as the down key. noting.

This is a works mobile which i was given to test airwatch on a year ago. set it up from new with my gmail account (seems like thats not the case). one of my colleagues recently wiped the device and now when i try to go into it, its asking for my google account which was previously used to login to the device. ive tried all my account/emails/passwords but nothing works.

Could you possibly help on this?
