Hi
I have just got a "Fully Loaded" Q box 4k 2/16 and got some problems
1/ On start up video after turning, on music is stopping and stuttering picture is fine ,(bad start but not a big problem)
2/ On the home screen after a couple of seconds i get 2 small boxes which flash up - one says New york and the other says Query - then screen goes blank and then comes back after a second or so on and continues doing that, even if i quickly press apps they go back to the home screen again. If i go into Kodi or Web they work fine.
I dont really want to go back to factory settings

Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated

Sounds like it's defective and not working right, and should be returned for replacement or refund. These Qbox, MXQ, MX, M8, etc. "fully loaded" Kodi boxes from unknown manufacturers are really cheapo devices, and often have quality issues, bugs, high infant mortality, or are DOA. If you factory reset, it will no longer be "fully loaded".

At the moment, almost all these boxes have the same set of cheap components.

There's not much difference between one make and another.

These are NOT the sort of devices that lend themselves to modding and customizing... which I learned the hard way!

Now mine's pretty much just a KODI box... which is awesome. But I don't plan on torturing it with many other functions!

Enjoy it while it lasts! :)

Hey Andrew Cole,

Thanks for the prompt reply/feedback. Am on a Xfinity router and the speeds are incredible (astronomical) both network connection and WIFI. My apologies Sir, what i had forgotten to mention is that, i saw a video on you-tube on how to eliminate buffering and decided to change the pre-installed settings, which was a BIG BIG mistake! After i made the changes that's when the buffering issues started. (I think the guys in China pre-install apps depending on where the order comes from, and the settings done are for the destination country (for me US) so i would not recommend anyone who has purchased this Q-Box to play around with any of those pre-installed settings!)

To solve my problem, i uninstalled my Kodi Javis and reinstalled it again (i lost all my pre-installed stuff, which was a whole lot!). I then installed the Eros build, which has all the stuff i need to watch, and much much more! The buffering problem is history (i tend to think the Eros build has good settings to avoid buffering) and am the happiest camper in the Android proverbial forest.

Thanks again Andrew Cole and have a great day.

These cheap Chinses boxes SAY they can play 4K @ 60 but they can't! It's as simple as that!
Maybe they can handle a15-second "demonstration" clip, but that's about it.
The term "fully loaded" shouldn't be taken too seriously.

Is your hardwired internet cable 100MBs or 1 GB?
Is your router/modem 100MBs or 1 GB?
Does the 4K clip play OK when it's on a USB stick or memory card?
What player are you using to play the clips? They all handle videos differently.

Personally - I can't see the 'wow' factor of 4K.
It looks pretty snazzy in the TV showroom, but at home, those videos of storks get old pretty quick!
And 4k has one major drawback - it doesn't make story lines more plausible or interesting!

4k is like the difference between the photo of a McFilet O Fish that is in the window... and what they serve you once you're inside the store. There's a massive difference.

Cheers for reply Andrew, the 4k through my ps4pro (i know not native) & through actual software on my 4ktv is pretty impressive to me....im still loving those storks! Lol
Router is getting 80mbs & all cables used are the same i use for ps4pro.
I have tried multiple addons that claim they can stream but all do the same sketcky stuttering until close...i can see the qbox cant handle it because this stuttering actually effects the kodi software...not just the film!? Thought it was too good to be true!
Andrew whats your view on the nVidea shield box?? You think this could handle 4k streaming to my tv or is it just the same crappy Chinese chipboard inside?
Cheers again

NVidia Shield is a MUCH better option if 4k is important to you.

I also have the same problem that you have... but when I actually have the video file on a USB stick and use the native video player (NOT VLC or any other) then I can get results!

These cheap boxes are really just designed to support KODI and midrange video streaming.
Many people seem to be treating them the same as a home computer DIY project!
They simply aren't that powerful or versatile.

Good luck with the stalk watching! :)

Hi
Pls need help
just bought on MXQ PRO 4K
My video files playing on USB don't play the sound?
Any help
Thank you
What format are the videos in, codecs used? I know some stock players won't play AC3 sound, because of Dolby Labs patented codec licensing issues. Try using VLC or MX Player instead.
