Having recently discovered the new Android auto which I like, I'm struggling to get it to play the music I want that's stored on my phone.
I know I can speak to it but I also want the ability to browse b4 I select, so I know I need to turn all my albums/folders I to Playlists, thus us where it gets funky, in Google play it does not see half of my stores music and the ones it does has missing files / tracks etc, or also under the albums tab it doesn't list an album but list individual songs from an album which seems defeatist tbh.

Is there a site way I can select all my folders together (or one by one if necessary) and select make Google Playlist? Even a 3rd party app to do so?

Tbh I really don't understand why Google made playing my music so difficult, music I own and have copied to my pc from one format or another and then copied to my phone even if you take the auto out of the mix in this respect most music ayers are awful on Android.

All help appreciated thanks..

Just trying an app I've bought called automatic tag as a mate said maybe an id3 tag problem, although why play doesn't have a folder player option I don't know it a basic essential to me things need to be more easily interchangeable, if I ripped a cd in 2004 it needs to work fine in today's player still especially mainstream ones like play ..

Android auto limits you to google play / or whatever it's current name is, I like using Google auto it pretty good, this new way (not that new I know) of how music tagged/detected by programs is rubbish tbh, it's brilliant if all you do is download from play, iTunes,Spotify etc, but if you have old music stored on your pc and all you want is a folder to act as an album ( like most of the normal folks on the planet who make a folder for each album they've ripped onto the pc ) it's a nightmare, id3 has just I ercomplicated a perfectly good system.

What fixed it for me was to copy all music to internal memory then run tha app mentioned in each folder changing the title and album data, now Whether this is an sd card error, or if Google just doesn't like the sad card I'm unsure as I've not put it back onto the sd yet, hopefully it's not the sd card as that's the point of having one really ..
