So let me get this straight: Verizon raised the monthly fee from 30 to 50 for the unlimited plan, then tries to make all customers get off unlimited then bring it back for 100/month.

Oh, and unlimited is capped at 22GBs and the hotspot is capped at 10.

Isn't this racketeering?

Not really. If you don't like their tariffs and plans, then take your custom to another carrier.

I have a family of 4. 2 of us... my son and I were grandfathered in on unlimited and my wife and daughter were on loyalty max of 6gb. My daughter was complaining that she wanted more data, especially after the Pokemon Go thing started. I found out about this plan and found that it suited us better (and cheaper) than what we had, after examining our data usage. I rarely use more than 18 gb of data (and that included not-so-legal tethering), which is now provided for me with a clean conscience about it.

Win-win.

If it was that easy. They locked me into a 2 year contract. I'm sure if I cancel, I'll have to pay. If you are grandfathered into their Unlimited plan, I say stay on it. You will be throttled after 10 GB, and the speeds they throttle you at are worthless, 0.5 Mbps.
