Help VR BOX for LG G4 compatibility

Hi all,
I just purchased LG G4 and I am looking for a decent VR headset.
I was thinking buying this one:

I'm just don't want to spend money on a vr headset that will not fit.
I know it is fit for up to 6Inch phones, just asking, did anyone here tried this headset with the LG G4? (5.7 Inch)

Thx

Did you end up buying it
Interested myself but limited info on what works for this phone.

Thanks

Hi Ryan,
Yes I have, and i'm not satisfied.
It is pretty easy to use because it has that plate where it holds your phone, but unless its not a 6inch phone(phablet) it won't be 100%, the phone can move inside if you move your head too fast and then you need to take out the plate and readjust it.
With my LG G4 5,5 Inch I can see the outside of the phone and its actually ruin everything.
It is just that reason that ruins it all, as I expected a 25$ "Cardboard" to be almost perfect, but then it may be just me with my much-too-high expectations...

My advise, buy a Cardboard box or VR Box or what ever box that fit exactly your phone size, that's what i'm going to do.

If you find anything that fit 5.5 Inch and look decent, please share a link mate, i'm eager to find a good VR box where I won't get ti see the outside of the phone screen

Bottom line, don't buy it,

Thanks for the info. I also have the LG G4 and haven't found much for headsets that specifically mention the G4 for sizing.

I'm thinking about going with this one:

http://www.amazon.com/HooToo-Virtual-Reality-Distance-Adjustable/dp/B018JZQWIQ

Ratings seem to be pretty great and I believe it comes with inserts that you can attach to keep the phone centred properly and has focusing options so it will work for various screen sizes.

Any thoughts??

Its exactly the same as the VR BOX!
I would actually go for this if it was cheaper:
http://www.amazon.com/LG-VR-for-G3/...=UTF8&qid=1452638125&sr=1-1&keywords=lg+g3+vr

And it doesn't seem to have a strap so its a bit stupid holding it all the time.

I suggest you look for something specifically made for 5.5 inch phones.

But if you really have to, then buy the one I have, its cheaper by 10$ - 15$ then the one in your link and its the exact same VR BOX just with a different look.

EDIT:
As the maximum size is 5.5, I belive it will fit perfectly:
http://www.amazon.com/Cardboard-Blu...TF8&qid=1452638106&sr=1-2&keywords=5.5+vr+box

Don't take my word on it though, I wouldn't trust 100% on these china made gadgets

I Hope ryanawesomous and smoothing see this. It's been a year since you had this conversation. I have an LG G4 VS986. Wondering what your recommendation might be for a great device. I have just thought of buying one so I know I don't even know the correct terminology. Would really appreciate your advice. Of course I don't want to pay a lot and it should be super if I could play games. I've never used a vr of any kind so don't even know if I'dlike one

There are some problems as you mentioned above VR box models in this you have to pull out that case in which you put your mobile there are side tracks/clips which holds the mobile not to skip. which effectively keep on touches volume/power buttons of mobiles. coming cardboard We can't hold with our bear hands that much time. I Can say VR boxes like this will somehow good http://www.latestone.com/ptron-xtreme-360-virtual-reality-headset and I can say like samsung gear VR box which facilitates the mobile in to it.

ive not had much issues with most headsets aside from the fact I need to remove the phone from its case. The biggest problem that made using VR impossible was the lg g4 over heats within 15 minutes because of the combination of the screen brightness and confined space. My last headset was pretty good and worked with my glasses, but because my phone overheats even doing 3d movies, I have deemed the phone useless for google VR.

Is your phone heating while only inserted into VR or in general also while large files or gmaes like VR or 3D. If it gets heat only when inserted there are some other good VR boxes which minimise the exposure mobile heat while using it.
