What I would like to see is being able to set a different sound notification, so when I get a reply I know its from this forum.

If i was you, I'd post your question in a brand new thread, so more people will see it and you'll be able to give extra information /ask questions etcAndroid Samsung Galaxy Note 4. New battery few months ago. Now it just turns itself off. Then it wont turn on. If i take the battery out then put it back in it starts up for awhile. Then stops and turns off or the screen freezes and then i have to take the battery out to start it again. Any ideas?
All of the phone and tablet forums have been combined into a single "Android Devices" forum. Is there a way to search for forums? I have quite a few starred in Tapatalk and I can't find them.
I'll be honest I haven't used TT in a couple years. All that is a subforum with all device threads. the device threads all have a tag that somehow puts them in a device channel. It's a custom view that isn't compatible with TT. It only works with the new Forums for Android app. That link doesn't open in the app.
Oh, it isn't in the new app yet, but it is coming.Meant the new app.
When I open in a browser, I can't find a way to star a forum.
Try the Android Questions section and press the "ask a new question" button (green). Elsewhere in the forum the button is "start new thread" (still green).
Tapatalk @2nd place?! Not happening easily. The new AF apk is such an intrusive pain I'm not interested in using it. I don't WANT a forum app connecting to Google for anything & everything since Google already eats more data & battery than I want. I don't WANT it to ID my phone, and tbh.. These changes are really pissing me off. Fine, mess up your website and add even more grievance with the Google app (might as well add it to Gapps, Lmfao) and everyone will get mad enough to go to XDA (IF you knew how much of a big deal that is to ppl who actually don't like to go there.. You'd understand). You guys are seriously screwing up with the Google integration. I was gonna use the app but they went the wrong direction with this. The new website, has leapfrogged the forums app.... And with a couple of tweaks could knock tapatalk into second place
Can you explain what you mean? As the post this was replying to was telling the member where the button to start a new thread is (in the old forum website now) this reply seems to be a complete non-sequitur. Did you intend to reply to my post, or did something mess up and your reply get attached to the wrong post? This is the folder with encrypted files of NQ vault, please don't deleted it!

I agree, Tapatalk is a full featured app that is not easy to replace. I would be curious to hear what exactly is causing the intrusive pain to not use the new Forums for Android app.
We will soon be adding a way to authenticate in the app without using Google. We have a bunch of improvements that are going on so please hang in there.
My phone doesn't have Google on it. So I do AF either with Tapatalk or Firefox on the Macbook.
Do you have an alpha or beta for that?
PM me if necessary Steve.
I think he means Google may not be allowed in China..?? Some ppl prefer to remain "Anonymous" and not use any Google Play/Services at all, which I do sometimes. And if you have an AF application NOT tied to Google, then I'm certainly excited to try it. [emoji16] Really! The Google integration was my only real deal breaker with using it as you have been doing an astounding job on the quickness of your fixes. The rest would get hammered out with progress. Not yet but close on my radar. I have started this but had some other features that took priority. I will keep you in mind for testing when ready
Question for you. When you say your phone does not have Google... do you basically mean no Play Store and services? For a few aspects of the app, we use Firebase backend, which requires Google Play Services (aka Play Store). I may have to investigate and test what can be done to overcome this. Right now the app would just say the generic error that you need Play Services and/or update, etc. if your device would not meet the requirements.
