Surprise!!! Note 7 Available Soon!

I bet they'll release Nougat for it at some point, and then it will only be a matter of time before I will be able to get it onto my Note 7, hahahah!!!!!!!!!! :) :)

Actually, I think not. Anything they release from now on surely will have the holes plugged that allowed us to thwart their moves to kill our Note 7's this time around. I think I'll leave well enough alone and just wait for the Note 8. In the meanwhile, my Note 7 continues to do the great job I waited 2 years for it to be released for and do.

Note 7 about to become the most valued phone to the likes of ISIS.

Wasn't it enough they blew up before and after the recall? Or the factory that makes their batteries also catching fire as well?

You'd think this would've be a wake-up call for Samsung to realize trying to scare off power users was a bad idea.

Around a 100 Note 7's got over hot and IGNITED, they never blew up- out of over 2.5 million. Most fires were in mostly in America ( what does that tell you - Snapdragon ? ). So 2,499,900 didn't catch fire. All they had to do was drop battery size down so it would not have to be forced in the allocated compartment. I would buy one straight away.

Fake news again. Oh well, never mind.

You still can't take a Note7 on a plane, was reminding of that last week at Beijing airport, so they're going to have to convince the FAA and CAAC and airlines that these ones are safe. Very likely will have to have a conspicuous and obvious way of differentiating between a refurbished safe Note7 and a recalled Note7.
I would never take a phone on a plane because I would never get on one. But that's me.

One easy way to differentiate would be to make the battery removable. Trying to copy the iPhone is what led to this chaos. At least if it were removable, users could have easily swapped in a replacement or a third party battery that doesn't exhibit the problem.

Samsung can only blame itself for this Fiasco.
I agree with the last sentence. However, not everything is "trying to copy the iPhone": many other Android manufacturers had been producing sealed units for a few years before the Note 7, and conversely iPhones have been sealed since the start without Samsung following that. But then the Note 7 wasn't Samsung's first sealed phone either: they'd been selling them for at least 18 months before the Note 7 was relased. Sadly I think that makes it very unlikely that Samsung will conclude that the battery needs to be removeable again (it certainly seems that the S8 will be sealed).

BTW Lufthansa are currently allowing you to carry a Note 7 in Europe, but it must remain turned-off throughout the flight, you may not charge it on the aircraft, and it may not be stowed in the hold. These restrictions were in a special notice when I checked-in this morning.

All non-removable batteries have done for me is just ensure a phone that won't last and basically ensure it'll be dead within a year. But guess what? nobody wants to make a phone with a complete set of radio bands anymore that actually has a removable battery, that can allow a larger replacement battery. So I have literally nowhere to go for any platform.o_O:thumbsdowndroid:

I know the Note7 prohibition is very much still in place here in China. Was reminded of it at Beijing Capital Airport a couple of weeks ago. Although on domestic flights here all phones must be switched off during the whole flight. However tablets are OK, and can be used.
