Default Bricked my Huawei U8651T (T mobile Prism)

Apparently there are no discussions in the Prism sub forum so I'm posting this here. I installed ClockWorkMod through Rom Manager which came with the Rom I got (CyanogenMod 7.2) and when I clicked on Back-Up, it rebooted my phone and now it's stuck on the T-Mobile screen. I'm unable to quick boot with the power button and volume down button, I can't power it down with just the power button, it's just stuck. Any help would be gladly appreciated as this is my main phone.

Hey Ein69, welcome to AF! While I understand your desire to get an answer, and that there is a lack of activity in your device's forum, The Lounge is for non-Android discussion, and clearly your question is on-topic. I have moved your thread into your device forum, however (and I can't make any guarantees) I will make a request to my fellow staff to see if we can get you some help. Regardless, thanks for signing up!

One thing I've found by a web search that might be worth a try (I don't know this phone either): pull the battery out to shut the phone down. Reinsert, then press and hold the power button and volume up for at least 8-12 seconds. That's supposed to get you into recovery. If it does, then we have a starting point. If it gets you into a custom recovery then we should be able get the phone back one way or another, even if at the worst it involves wiping and reinstalling.

Did you manage to make the backup, or did it just go like this when you selected the backup option? I'm afraid I have a real mistrust of ROM Manager - I'm sure it works fine on some devices, but there are also too many where it just doesn't.

In case it's useful I found that hint about getting into recovery from post number 10 of this XDA thread.

Sorry about that, thanks for moving it for me :x
And thanks Hadron for the advice, I wasn't able to get it into recovery mode in any way that I had researched, but I do have it up and working again. It was odd, I just kept pulling the battery out and putting it back in until it finally started up lol. I won't be using Rom Manager again. Thanks for the help!

To me, it sounds like you don't have a recovery installed. Go into ROM manager and go to the settings and check the option to erase recovery before flashing. Then go back to the main screen and flash clockwork a couple times.

I'm definitely not an expert on your phone, there may also be a manual way to flash a recovery file.

I'm scared to try and even mess with it again, but when I get the courage to attempt it I will definitely try your suggestion out. I looked around the net and see that a lot of other people are getting bricked or endless loops when using the back up option also.

I was able to root my Prism and put a custom rom on it as well. The XDA link that Hadron posted is very helpful.

After rooting my prism I decided to clear up some internal memory space by moving my system apps to my SD card manually by using root file explorer. After I copied and pasted into my SD card I deleted the apps off the internal memory. Well that didn’t work to well for me.... my phone started having pop-up windows saying error. I turned it off and tried to reboot it but it is stuck in a loop now. I can't turn it on to recovery mode because of mod manager app. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!
