Heres My New Rom for zte Racer

this rom now inculdes ..

* A2sd+
* New Live Wallpapes From Zte X850 galaxy,magic smoke,thunderstorm,vodafone wave
* Permanently Rooted
* All 3 Crap Removed
* New ZTE Boot Screen
* New Launcher2 With 5 Screens And With All Faulty Widgets And Icons Fixed screen shorts below is what it looks like
* Browser Fixed Now With All 3g uk Bookmarks Removed And Gose To Google Mobile
* New Google Markert
* New Google Voice Search
* New Google Gesture Search
* Status Bar Now Smaller When Closed
* New Alarm Clock
* New setup Manger
* new apn added

first things frist if you anit downloaded my recovery then do so

* download this rickywyatt.rar

* ok take out the battery and wait 5 secs then put it back in the press the vol + and the power button it should boot only to the green android logo and the red light stays on

* extract it to your c:\ then inbstall the drives if needed then click install-recovery-windows.bat once done the fone will reboot

then

download this update-non3g-w.zip

* rename to update.zip

* put the update.zip on your sd dont extract it

* switch phone off the hold the vol- button and press the power button it will boot into recovery

* if yo what a2sd to work youll need to partition your sd card look on the internet theres loads of ways to do it

* a2sd will install all your application to your sd

-----------------------------------------------------

next ....

* in recovery click wipe data/factory reset
* click apply sdcard:update.zip
* once complete click reboot system now

hate that Wi-Fi keeps dropping when phone locks. :-(

Needs GSM mode in settings as well :-(
hate using 3G the battery doesn't last longer than a day when its on.

If you are on the 3 network then GSM only wouldn't be an option, when 3 uses GSM it has to 'roam' to another network as it isn't directly supported.

Thanks for the room! But I have a little problem, when I take a look iin the galery or choose a ringtone, it appears duplicated. Not a big problem, but sometimes when youre searching or changing the tone takes a little longer....

Just installed version 2 and going to try it now
a few things i wanted to mention.

the file named is update-non3g-w.zip
but the guide says update.zip
some might get confused and stuck there

Is there any way to get it back to the Original Rom provided by 3 when the phone was bought?

it says to RENAME the file to update.zip

I have installed this successfully. LiveWallpapers work brilliant + other addons as mentioned above. Tho 3 Crap still exists!

tried to use this rom,via phone AND comp! couldn't get past the first bit! (red light etc) have rom manager installed but no joy! could do with some big help this!!(phone is rooted)

I.e. when i hold the vol.+ and power on butom at same time,the wee little green looks like he is going round and round,then stops,red light stays on and nothing! Can anyone help???!!u

every time I try to use it the red light stays on and the green man just stays there! what's going on? and the trick of holding vol.+ and pressing power button don't work for me.

got it installed,used(ROM manager) pressed vol+ and power button,did as written above, list came up, again did as written above,started to load then reboot as said but when it restarted, the `3` came up then it started to turn it self off all the time! lucky i backed up my rom used that,phone works ok,but sometimes it can restart it self when in call etc. downloaded test phone app says build puct;p726 mooncake user 2.1 update,and build inter,version:3uk-p726gv1.0o(or g) bo5 it also said(when loading up) it sd card faulty? hows that as its the sd card that came with the phone? any one out there have come across this before? and i m doing any thing wrong? need help with this guys!

Hey there, Would like to thank the creators of this. Im relativly new to this and ended up stuffing my ZTE Racer (T3020 In Australia) which i thought was now a mini paper weight, was i wrong!. Ended up using your Update.zip/ZTE drivers and used the zte's own recovery.

Hi there!,

I was able to on my ZTE and have it working 100% So far. My Steps-
1. Downloaded the UPDATE ONLY. (Renamed it to Update)
2. Moved it to my SDCard and turned on in recovery (Vol -/Power Button)
3. In recovery, went to WIPE and WIPED ALL DATA/FACTORY RESET
4. Extracted the Update and waited for install.
5. Go to Reboot Now

and Vola! At first i thought it wasn't going to work as it stayed on the ZTE Screen for about 5 minutes but it loaded and its also the UK ROM which is good for using ROM Managers ZTE Racer Recovery (Which is UK ONLY)
