Default [ROM] Stock Jellybean 4.1.2

For those of you who still haven't gotten the Jelly Bean update on your Reverb, please download the file below to upgrade. Thanks to help from tyler1998, I got Jelly Bean on my Reverb. Once I had Jelly Bean, I made a backup of it in CWM. Then me, myself, I ported the backup to a flashable zip file. So, just flash the zip in CWM and you should have stock 4.1.2! If you are going to share this, please give me a little credit, since I dedicated my time and worked really hard to give you guys this. Thanks!

I'm not going to post a rooted zip. If you need to root, there is a thread on this forum.

Do I need stock MB3 to use this or is this the full rom that I can flash onto any version?

Man I hope this is the answer to my problems because I've been pulling my hair out for the past 2 or 3 days trying everything and anything listed in the forum and still ending up with Status 7 errors. Thanks very much.

It works on Super Helado v1.1a. You should rename the title to [ROM] Stock Jellybean. That way, we can get started on custom roms and stuff.

Alright, downloaded, flashed, all working well. Now to just wait for root and can get back to reinstalling all my apps again. Been wiping and installing stock rom several times hoping to get the update and install it but this came at the right time and easy enough to just download on my phone at work and flash with cwm. Thank you much for this, you are THE MAN.

Edit: Also rooted JB using the method in one of the other threads of downloading and flashing in cwm busybox and SU, was very easy to do.

Root is already available. Check the other threads. I'm waiting for custom roms. Custom ICS is better than Samsung JB

I have THE worst luck. I flashed this rom with CWM and it's soft bricked. Luckily can get into recovery to restore ICS, but really bummed this isn't working for me. Nothing seems to be.

Are there any specific requirements that this rom needs? I'm up to date with everything...either the universe hates me or my phone does or both.

I would try to do a factory data reset, or clear data for the Play Store in Applications. Have you logged into your Google account yet?

Default Another workaround for playstore f/c

Downloading and re-installing the "Play Store apk." will achieve the same result as reboot, data wipe, reflash. I decided to try this because every time I wiped & reset data, I would lose my ability to use my TSF shell and my Aptoide app. (TSF Shell ROCKS btw).

Edit: Nevermind...disreguard, it did it again after a restart...RATS!!

zjones. Thank you so much for the guidance and your "Stock JB ZJones.zip" file. It saved me for sure. I just got my Reverb up and running on Jelly Bean 4.1.2, with CWM Recovery installed, and superuser(root) functional. It was not that easy. There is a lot of disjointed info out there. Most of it is accurate, and mush not relevant to my particular case. Your help was the key, especially when I soft-bricked without a JB image to fall back on.

A sure way to fix it is to wipe from CWM and flash again. You'll have to reinstall everything though.

Well. I love this stock JB. But it seems I'm starting to run into the unresponsive touchscreen issue. Happened twice today. Everything appears to be working but the touchscreen, not frozen. If anyone has any ideas how to fix this at this point I'm all ears.

Is anyone else having trouble with GPS after installing this ROM? I can't seem to get a lock anymore. I use navigation all the time and I also use the MapMyRun app to record my walking/running distance and time. I'm going to restore my ICS backup until I can find a way to get GPS working with JB. :-(

I had a problem with GPS too. My recent reinstall of JB involved factory/data reset, flash of JB, busybox and supersu. Then I wiped the sdext2 partition that I use for Link2SD. Seems like it might have caused some issues with apps that I reinstalled that were on there before. Since I have done all this the only issue I've had has been the random unresponsive screen when in lockscreen. I turned off lockscreen and for the time being I have not encountered the unresponsive touchscreen. It's running well so far and GPS appears to be working fine. I have to test the GPS a little more though. I ran Google MyTracks yesterday and it stopped tracking about 1/2 way through my ride but I don't know if it was due to my phone being in my pocket.

So, these issues are just with this copy of the JB update, not the official OTA JB update, correct?

Saigon - don't weep, there may be a fix. First, did the SGR root, but now you just have the triangle? Did you run Root Checker? If it did root, I wouldn't worry about yellow triangle. It should only show up on recovery boot (Vol Up + Power). If it did NOT root, just restart the process as described on the post http://androidforums.com/reverb-all-things-root/721940-welcome-jelly-bean-rooting-returning-ics-stock-forcing-ota-update.html. This covers the process using CWM Recovery.

Read this thread before using "Triangle Away". I decided NOT to worry about it, since there are risks. The flash count is what it is. If you don't ever need a warranty claim, I think it is not a problem, but that is just my opinion. Phone Status: Modified

Also forgot to ask if you have earlier version of Reverb or the out-of-the-box with JB 4.1.2? The latter may not root properly according to what I have read on this forum.

Good luck to you!

Default Stuck on load

I need help please! I went through the flashing process with cwm and now my phone is stuck on the Samsung load screen. How do I recover from this?

UPDATE: found out the screen was just looping, I ended up turning the phone off and then on again and it worked.

Default Unroot without nandroid backup

I have a galaxy tab 2 7.0 p3110 jellybean 4.2.2 rooted with cyanogenmod 10.1.3.

I want to downgrade to jellybean 4.1 as I hate jb4.2.i can't find much online how to do this without a nandroid backup which I never made. I'm cautious to attempt anything I've read so far since my cm10.1.3 is for jb4.2 and will likely brick my device if I try anything without first removing the cyanogenmod. Anybody have advice how I can achieve this?
