1)you prolly flashed the from from a permanent recovery,so the kernel did not install.
2)you possibly did not install the old firmware patch,immediately flashing the rom.
assuming you are still s-on,read this: s-on and want to flash roms? READ THIS
follow the directions to launch your recovery from fastboot and reflash the rom. immediately after,flash the old firmware patch(linked in that post)
that should fix you up
