1) Download the above files
2) Extract Odin3-3.04.zip and copy the Stock odin.tar into the folder
3) Run Odin as an administrator
4) Power your Galaxy Rush off
5) Press and hold volume down and power to enter download mode
6a) Connect your phone to your computer
6b) Wait for drivers to finish installing if they need to be
7) You should see Odin find your device by marking a blue square in the ID COM box
8) Click on PDA and choose the Stock odin.tar, ensure autoreboot is the only option checked off
9) Click start
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You should boot back up with stock -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I need someone to who has flashed cwm but not rooted to grab system. there is a lot of files missing so its not a complete tar, as in you guys get an ota and you flash this you wont be able to update due to the radios mismatch. but hey its better than nothin right? :P

My roommate is rooted, and nothing else. I could remove superuser and the binary, and upload that. (If that would help.)

yea sorry, as it turns out there is an issue with my computer making teh tars. i am currently re uploading all 800+MB's of it in a new working tar, just gunna take 3+ hours

So, i have a brand new rush that i just got, i've not rooted or installed cwm on it yet, is there someway i can help before i start rooting this thing?
fair enough, so you'll have to forgive me, I've been wanting to get into the andorid scene a lot more, but i'm still fairly new at it, most i've done is to root and flash different roms on my prevail, so just so i'm clear
just follow the instructions here [OUDHS] Clockworkmod Recovery 6.0.1.9 and flash cwm
then choose backup and restore, and that backup right there will get you what you need?
like i said i'm pretty new-ish to the scene, eveything i did to my prevail was just following the guides and instructions, if you're willing to help walk me thru this, i'm be happy to help you get what you need, shoot me a pm if you prefer
Shabby if someone doesn't get it for you by the time I get my Rush from a friend the first or second week of January then I'll get it for you, I'm familiar with using ADB and know how to mount partitions in CWM too...
EDIT: No offense to the guys that are trying to help but if you guys haven't done commands in ADB before or too often then I don't recommend that you do it at this point as you could potentially mess up your phone with a simple mistake, I'm just saying that maybe someone will come along that has this phone and has a lot more knowledge using commands in ADB that could do it at this point, or I could do it when I get my Rush next month unless someone with more experience with commands in ADB comes along beforehand...

yea like i said in the first post, since this doesnt have the modem files you arent going to be able to revert those. so when you try to apply an update it hash checks the radio and fails. cwm wont back them up either.
no matter how many time syou flash this file if you did an update you now broke your ability to update all together.
however using this will get your phone back and working if you mess it up to where it wont boot/etc

Since this is your thread Shabby just wanna let you know that I tried to help him out by uploading my current CWM Backup but I can't seem to find a file host that will let me upload at least 548 MB in one file, so idk wtf to do at this point, he should like you said just use ODIN and flash this stock rooted tar image, it will in fact get his phone back to working order... I have however offered to even have him call me so I could help him do it step by step but I guess his phone isn't in service, but if he finds a way to call me on another phone I'm still willing to help, I'm just that type of guy, I know how it is to not have a functional phone, has happened to me too many times that I don't even wanna remember lol, not a good feeling, but these guys need to learn to trust people on here especially the great devs like you and they might learn something and get somewhere, anyway that's just my 2 cents worth if it even means anything, but once again Shabby thanks again for all that you continue to do for us, your contributions to our forums make it that much more enjoyable for us to explore, learn, and expand our knowledge on the great and vast wonderful world of Android, there's nothing else in the world that comes anywhere near it!!!
if you never took the update you can flash this tar and be fine to do the update. but until someone dumps every single partition from this phone and opens them up in hex editor and figures out which ones is which there isnt much i can do about making a full odin tar.

Hell if you're willing to work with me on that Shabby I wouldn't mind trying to do that, just need some guidance as to how and what to use as far as the hex editing...
