I have a samsung admire and when I take pictures and videos the color is messed up. kinda looks cartoonish. I reset the camera setting to default. I did a factory reset nothing helps. please help

If a factory reset does not solve it the phone may be defective.

My sister's Admire had the same problem. I know this will sound dumb but this is how I fixed it. I opened the camera app so it was ready to take a pic. Then I took my finger nail and smacked the camera lens a few times. Then it worked again. It used to have a cartoon-ish effect. Trust me that's what I did. Let me know if it works.
