I recently bought a Samsung Admire from a neighbor who was evicted. I'm not sure how to get in touch with them and the phone has no contacts or recent messages. The number is still active and I would like to active my own number on it soon. Can someone please help me with this problem.

It all depends if it's prepaid or postpaid.

If the phones previous account was prepaid this it should be able to be switched without problems.

But if it's a postpaid account, the original owner verification is required. Also if the account has already been disconnected due for non payment, im afraid you got ripped off.

If you currently have service on the phone then you have to wait until the end of the month. Don't pay it and the you have to wait a another month for MetroPCS to close that account. Then you have activate it on.a new account. This is legit, I went all of November without service after not paying it the month before
