The GDE home replacement app works good on the behold 2 and has a nice application dock built in.

Yeah GDE always ran pretty smooth for me on the BH2.

No but you can always try it for 24 hours, and if you don't like it, get a refund. I think it's worth the cheap price (although I can't remember the actual price).

I must say though, GDE is one of the more polished and smooth home replacements. I haven't experienced any problems with it.

It's like $4 US but it is worth it IMO.

There are a lot of themes available for free so you can change the look easily.

My favorite is the Eclair (new drawer) theme.

Try zeam launcher in the market. Got a bit of a different dock which I happen to like, but the biggest thing is it's super light and runs really fast. Have it on my BH2 factory 1.6 rooted with a lot of bloatware removed.
