If you have not recieved the Behold II OTA , you will need to do the following:
If you did not receive the OTA update for software version T939UVJE2, perform the following:
1. Ensure you have appropriate network coverage.
Once in an appropriate coverage area, you will receive the next OTA push.
2. Ensure that you are not roaming.
Once in an appropriate coverage area, you will receive the next OTA push.
3. Verify that you have the proper data plan for this phone.
Once you have the appropriate data plan, you will receive the next OTA push.
4. Verify that TouchWiz is running by performing the following:
Note: The Behold II uses an integrated TouchWiz interface. If TouchWiz has been uninstalled or is not running, you will not receive the update.
1. Ensure that you have not “rooted” the phone or installed another version of Android. This removes TouchWiz.
2. Ensure that you are not using any other themed interfaces, such as aHome, ADW, Touchhome or Open Home etc.
Note: These interfaces bypass TouchWiz and prevent FOTA software updates.
Uninstall the themed interface
1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
2. Select Settings.
3. Tap Applications.
4. Tap Manage applications.
5. Tap the application you want to remove.
6. Tap Uninstall.
7. Tap OK.
8. Reboot your device.
Note: Once the original interface is reinstalled, you will receive the next OTA push. If TouchWiz is not running a master reset may be needed.
5. Verify that you are running software version T939UVJA3, by entering *#9999# from the Dialer.
If you are using T939UVIJ6 (Original version), you must first update to T939UVJA3. By following the same process as above.
If you are using T939UVJE2, you have already updated to the last software.

Have you clicked today?
Just what this means for those of you with full 3G coverage who haven't gotten the update, I do not know.
I would also like to know when the next push is? I'm assuming 11 pm to 9 am, PST?
Also, can anyone tell me if I use a borrowed SIM with 3G during those hours, will it register the update or does it have to be my own?
I'm laughing. They said, "Didn't get your update? Maybe it's not our fault. Look at your phone. And if everything is OK, you will get an update, just like we promised...a while ago...but we promise...we'll get it to you...sometime."

I decided to give T-Mobile one more shot and to my surprise I found the most helpful CSR I have ever spoken too. He was extremely helpful and walked me through everything that I needed to do. He assured me that I would most definitely get the update and the other representative I spoke to was not speaking the entire truth (yeah no SH*T). He also made it very clear that if I were not to receive the update I would be able to exchange the phone at no charge for a the same phone with the new 1.6 firmware. He told me that you DO have to have the correct data plan on your phone, 3G DOES have to be running, you DO need to have the most update version of the software and your phone DOES have to be on to properly receive the update. He DID tell me that everyone will get the update no questions asked but unfortunately it may take up to 2 weeks from today to get to everybody. He also made it very clear that there is no state, city or IEMI number ordering of the update deployment; he said it is staggered and random. However he was very confident that if I met all the requirements that I would more than likely receive the update tonight. Hopefully this is true because I do not want to be stuck waiting two weeks for an update that was supposed to come a week ago. Tomorrow morning I will check back and let others know if I have received this update.
So, if this is true, does that mean I can just slip in a SIM with 3G and get the update? Sorry to keep beating this dead horse, but, as I've said, I don't have a data plan and would have to get a SIM from someone who does tonight if it is possible for me to get the update using someone else's SIM card.

I don't know about that whole needing a data plan to get the update thing... I recieved the previous "bug fix" update and I don't have a data plan either.
Plenty of people have received updates via WiFi. They're just trying to limit all possible problems on our ends. What's annoying is that they will completely deny that anything is wrong on their end.
Everyone should be able to get the update tonight thanks to Nu11u5 and BH_MAN.
How bout those with the $10 or cheaper unlimited data plan.
The Behold 2 is the only Tmobile branded Android phone that doesnt require the expensive plan. At least the only one they havn't noticed still works with it.

Thats not the correct plan though. The only correct data plans offered for this phone is the Android plan and the pay per mb plan.

Here, watch me hold my breath!
What they are doing is dragging it out so Behold II customers will want to just buy a new phone............ ahh lookie the Vibrant..................... The worst version of the Galaxy S line....... no Keyboard, no flash, no FFC but samsuck knows their are T-mobile customers craving a 1GHz phone at a decent price............ I bet it still costs more than the Epic (galaxy s pro) does on sprint.
I am happy with my Slide. Samsung can shove that galaxy shit up their asses.
T-Mo say over and over in the latest announcement on their forums " you will receive the next OTA push." but they don't give any indication of when this "push" is scheduled for.
I mean WTF, they give out some information but only give half of of it. How difficult would it be to say the push is scheduled for xx/xx/xx so we would at least have confirmation it hadn't happened.
Stick T-Mo right up there with BP in the ranks of companies with totally crappy customer service.

I have 3 phones on the $5.99 tzones plan. Only one of them received the update.
This is a year old. The OTA was pulled. Feel free to flash a 1.6 Rom though.

Don't buy Samsung, they don't update, they just launch a new phone.
The Samsung Behold 2 for T-Mobile greatly improves on the first version of the phone by adding Android to the mix, providing for a powerful combination of hardware and sowftware. With Android, Samsung's custom TouchWiz UI, a 3.2-inch AMOLED Tou... Read More
