Tether away your BH II and vibrant!

Tether BH II is super easy, much easier than most of us expected.
If you have Cradlepoint router, you just need to setup APN and that's it!
Make sure your phone USB mode is "samsung studio" and USB debugging is optional (it doesn't matter it's on or off).
If you want to tether through USB with XP/Vista/7, you need to download the following application
http://img.samsungapps.com/support/Kies_1.5.1.10071_32.exe
use 7zip to unpack, and go to \your location of the fiile\Kies\CabFile\USB Driver, unpack the .cab again and go to the unpacked folder.
Run the .exe file and wait till it finished (there's a driver not included, which is used for debugging/development)
Now, setup dial-up networking
modem: samsung mobile modem
number: *99#

Have fun, just don't do anything stupid and get caught!

Thanx for sharing this tip but...you could just use pdanet like many of us have been doing/have done since day one. We always knew you could USB tether because, well, you have been able to since the phones release...people want wireless tether. Anyway the more ways to tether the better I guess.

Or you can use Barnacle Wifi Tether which works great with root on the OTA 1.6 update.

I've gotten Barnacle to start without FCing, I can see the SSID with another computer, and I can "connect" with the right authentication.

Only problem is it won't assign an IP for me.

I only messed with it for a few minutes and assumed it was still not compatible. Their forums also mention needing a specially modified driver for Samsung phones but I don't think the BH2 uses the same device.

OP thanks for another alternative for Tethering... This one is nice for those who do not want to pay a premium to use secure (https) sites with pdanet.

I never realized that till I got it and I am a late comer (bought 2 of them at $180/ea at my t-mobile).
So far samsung BH II and Vibrant are the easiest to do wired tethering without ANY modification or install anything on the phone, and on top of that, it's 100% free.
Moreover, tethering through USB seems to get much better latency.
