Default My phone says insufficient space

But I only have like 15 apps installed. I'm running Firefly 3.0, and every time I try to add more apps it just says I don't have sufficient space. Help?

I looked through some topics and one mentioned there is a dedicated amount of room for apps, but I'm pretty sure I'm nowhere near it.

Edit: I tried using App2SD and threw all the apps on the external SD card, but I still have the problem. What's going on?

What are your numbers?

Go to Menu -> Settings -> SD card and phone storage

The 3 sections are referred to as "SD card", "USB storage" and "System storage"

Relevant section in the FAQ: Storage - CapFAQ

Default What solved it for me

This happened to me once. I spent a couple of days barely even able to use my phone. I could not open an app because it said I had insufficient space; could not open web browser, etc. I could not even add a phone number to my contacts. After spending hours and hours trying to fix this, I finally found it. If you go to contacts, then history, there is every call made or received, every text sent or received, and that history was so long that it had literally eaten up all my available space. I cleared the history and then everything was working again. I now clear it every week or two.

Don't know if this is your problem, but it is worth a try.

By the way, I was getting an error message that my personal data had insufficient space. That is separate from program space.

Hm it seemed to have resolved itself somehow after about a week of not being able to install apps. I had plenty of space on the internal and external SD cards so idk. At least it fixed itself?
