Sad tethering pop-up

There is a problem with the tethering program. A window pops up saying the tethering program is not working. And that I have to close it. This happens at least once or twice a day. But once in while It will not show up. How can I fx thos or uninstall or anything th make that annoying bo go away. I do not use the tethering. You advic would be greatly appreciated.
