Default Security Storage process??

I installed Usage Timeline Free app to see what is slowing down my Charge and I see a process called Security Storage that is always at the top of the list and I can't stop it or see what app it's from. Has anyone seen this process?

If nobody else sees this process running it must be an app I downloaded. But I don't see it in the list of processes when using the Android process app.
I guess I'll do some more digging.

Default same issue!

Hi. Got the same issue. Did you figure out how to kill that process? Who is it?

Might be a widget or a service which we installed? At least figured out that it is a system process: com.android.providers.security.....

As far as I'm aware, it's a service that handles secure reads/writes to/from the databases on the device. I believe it's a core service and should not be disabled.

Default android.providers.internal.security

Cilraaz is right. It is a core service that comes on some newer Android phones from some providers, but not all, and that it is designed to speed things up and handle secure read and writes. It helps keep rogue apps from accessing personal data in the phone. It has access to about everything along with a couple of other service processes. It came on my Galaxy SIII. Other configurations of the SIII handle this in other ways. It doesn't have much effect on battery life on the Galaxy. It is best to not disable it if it is on there and don't worry about it if it is not.

Default Using 15.86% of battery!

Note 2, just got "all in one toolbox" and saw that "security storage" is using about 13% cpu and 15% of the battery. Is this in line with what you guys get?
