These contact lists are different. Does anyone know how to delete a contact within the "Messaging" contact list?

It almost seems that new ones have appeared. I have my "sync" turned off for all. Cannot delete a bunch of facebook garbage. help pls

I do not have different contacts for phone and messaging. I sync contacts with my Google Gmail only.

I have read in forums that to get rid of the Facebook contacts you must uninstall the Facebook app and delete the Facebook from your Accounts. Then re install the Facebook app.

I also have different contacts in the two lists and I don't have a Facebook account. The messaging contacts are spammed with every e-mail that ever appeared in my Gmail account. It's all from Google Sync with Google contacts, although I disabled this sync. I'd be happiest if Google would leave my contacts alone.
