I know that rooting is very popular right now, especially with ICS OS. Personally I DO NOT recommend it. It voids your warranty, and can fry your phone. Wait for the official update, People! It will be here soon.
The rumors do better for Europe than they do here. Europe has the rumors, we have Europe! When Europe gets it, we'll know it'll be in the states soon. Duh!
If you dont root, install the ics ota & hate it, ur stuck. Been there done that & learned my lesson. I'll never do that again.
How is the desktop version of youtube in the stock ics browser. I really need to know b4 I flash. I've install about 3 different ics roms & every1 of them lag on the desktop version of youtube. The scrolling on GB has been better as well. I just want the browser to be as smooth GBs stock browser.
Do a complete Wipe Use Calcs...Then Flash Mijahhs74'S Rom ...The Goodness...Its Flawless with an Instant GPS Lock...Also Facial Regognition ...If u Like That...Its an FC22 to be updated to 24 soon...Try It ...Youll Luv it...You Tube works Perfect...I can't get 4g so when I run it on WIfi ...Its Unreal...No lag at all...
Voids your warranty? no it doesn't. And even if it does, just ODIN back to the stock rom, done. 99% of people working at sprint wont know what the heck they're looking at anyways, trust me, I worked there, and we dont go into extensive detail checking if its rooted...unless it is a software issue that you're having.
you can also go into APPS > ALL APPS click clear data on the launcher and TWLauncher and select to use the default launcher if you wish.
If this method doesn't work for you just go download a new launcher then you'll get the option to choose which launcher you want to use and just select the default android launcher and set as default.

Or just download the free "home switcher" app, then you can change launchers anytime you like without jumping through all those hoops. I go back and forth between adw launcher and golauncher all the time.

The Fd02 release was announced today and hopefully will be leaked soon. Devs think it may be final as there are not any major bugs anymore. I'm on fc24 now and its solid, battery life seems better than the previous release. Hopefully the new will be even better on battery.
FD02 is out and looking good, reception has improved via 3g, 4g, and wifi and its nice and snappy overall. Cant comment on battery life yet but initial results look good.
Sorry for being dense, but are you guys talking rooted phone here or non root in regards to an impending update? Also who is Sammy?
Sammy is Samsung
Im talking about leaks and Im rooted but an official version should be ready for all very soon. The latest leak fd02 was released on the 2nd of this month.
OMG HTC Hero! I hated that phone! LOL I was missing my blackberry tour so bad when that was happening...

The Hero haters here crack me up. I LOVED my Hero. The 2.1 upgrade was a bit of a headache, but luckily, I was smart enough to root the phone ahead of time, and just flash a 2.1 ROM. Then once I got CM7 on it, there was no looking back. The phone worked great for me, and it still works great for me. I use it now as a wi-fi mp3 player. Back to the topic here though, I hope that ICS is coming soon. I really like the look of it. And yes, I know I can flash an ICS ROM and have it now, but that's besides the point.

Another leak was released on the 5th, who knows when it will be official but I'm having fun with the regular leaks. Each one has its own little quirks but still much better than anything official ever released for my Moment.
My BF just got ICE rolled out to his Galaxy Nexus an hour ago! I'm throwing an unfair hissy fit over here! LOL He doesn't even know what ICE is! I'm waiting not so patiently...

I don't think antone here knows what ICE is, but we all know what ICS is.
I keep checking in the hopes someone in the states just got it... Lately I've been having some issues with my phone. No voicemail notifications and worse gps

Just to let ya know there won't be any appearance change when ics comes.. Just look at the official updates over seas
you obviously arent aware it actually did come out 03/15/12 in internationally, just not in the US.
so LOL at that.
Wow, you really got me there.
You reiterated my point, genius.
It means nothing to the numerous people with this particular US handset that a bunch of Pollocks have the update. If anything that probably makes it worse.
Some guy on a mule cart in Croatia shilling car parts has the update. Lol
The notification bug has not veen fixed yet and they are still fine tuning. Leaks have been regular, so its definitely in the works. Sometimes software just takes longer on different hardware. The rest of the world has gsm.
Lol is right. I did however suggest that the update may not be released until the launch of the Galaxy Nexus for Sprint. Now that the Sprint stores are starting to get Nexus literature, I think that may be the most accurate suggestion. It could be that Samsung has already given Sprint the release and Sprint is holding off on it.

OR, you can wait another week and a half (May 3rd) for Samsungs announcement and soon afterward release of their next iPhone killer - the Galaxy sIII!!!
This one along with HTC's announcement of THEIR Iphone killer (One X) is purported to be different than the 30 iPhone killers that preceded it in that it will/can detect any iPhone in within close proximity, jump out of your hands and proceed to f**ck that iPhone in its mouth.
Yes, the iPhone is as good as dead now. Again. lol
The galaxy and One X will already have ICS.
The slow death march of the S2 has officially begun.
Google on the flip side is already making a few more noises about not only Jelly bean but about the OS that will follow Jelly Bean - code named - Cocaine Biceps.

YAY!!!!!!!!
Yeah for sure...
But in another six months all the phones you're talkin about will be dead as well...
Im waitin on Quad Core...But LTE dosen't play well with it...
Also, the ICS for the unlocked Galaxy S2 came out earlier this week. Carriers will begin updating soon!
Can't wait for Chrome Beta. Giggity.
S3 will be out soon ...heard maybe in June...Talkin Quad Core thats where I read LTE and Quad Core don't play well...But hopefully like your sayin They can...Will be addin a line and the S2 will be up on Ebay where I sell all my phones at rediculous High Prices...
BTW i have Chrome Beta...Ran like S--t in the beginning ...I went back to it in the last two ICS leaks and runs much better now but no better than Qwick ICS Browser...Boat Browser...or XScope Browser...

Every new android is dubbed "the iphone killer". Apple will do that on thier own. Unless the supposed iphone 5 has something big, i've been bored with the iphone for a while.
Yea I used that 1 & its nice. I've been on the MIJJz Blend ICS fc22 rom for a couple of weeks & its outstanding. 3g & 4g work as well as the hotspot. Browser has no lag & I haven't found even 1 bug.
i read today that Samsung realeased ics 4.0 for the Gallaxy Nexus last week. but there was no mention of ics 4.0 for the Galaxy 2 phones. has anyone seen anything else. ics 4.0 just seems to be getting delayed and from what i have seen it only seems to be either installed on select new phones. even on the Tablets it seems to be delayed. is there a problem????
I wil bet anything they wait until after the new phones are out so people will be tempted to upgrade to get ics. We wont be seeing ics for some time now.
