I found this for the the Epic 4g, applied it to my phone and it works! The main thing is 4g connecting at lower dBm levels. I have my EntyRX set at -110 and I suggest anyone appling this to do the same.

You will need your MSL. I am not sure if you need root but enter a terminal emulator and type exactly "getprop ril.MSL" and it will output your MSL.

How do you know it works, and what does it do exactly? My 4g is all over the place so i cant think of a reliable way to test it.

Well if you get 4g with no problem then this isnt for you. All it does is allow the phone to connect to 4g network at lower signal levels.
