Are you trying to connect the E4GT to your car stereo with a USB cable?

I believe the E4GT uses the Media Transfer Protocol (MTP) by default. This is newer/better than the USB mass storage protocol, but your car stereo probably doesn't support it. You can try going into Settings/Wireless and Network/USB Utilities, and use the USB mass storage. I believe you have to start the utility BEFORE you connect the cable.

Just use an aux cable instead. It's so much easier. If your car has a USB port, I'm sure it must have an aux port as well.
