Default Where have all the free tethering apps gone
I gave my son my Epic. I had Easy Tether on it - used it occasionally - but worked like a champ when I needed it. My son used it some and loved it but he decided soon after I gave the Epic to him that he needed to wipe all my apps off so he could start clean. Now he can't find a tethering app. What has happened. What can he do?

Sprint has blocked all tethering apps from the Market.

If you're still looking for a tethering app go to Amazon. They have an app called "Tethering Widget" which sounds like it does what you're asking for and its free. It says it enables you to turn your Android phone into a mobile hotspot. Hope this helps.

How can I get pdanet back? My phone was bricked due to the gingerbread update and I lost everything

You can push the app from your PC to your phone if you have the client installed. Under your programs > PDANET for android there should be an option to push to phone. I also lost my PDAnet app after the GB upgrade.

Sprint has had all the tethering apps removed from the market. If you had them installed before the unpgrade to GB, then you should be able to re-install them if you still have the apk files.

I had all my apps installed to my SD card, so I just had to find the APKs for PDANet and EasyTether on the SD card, and reinstall them.

Google Code search for wi-fi tether, use the latest release. you can use the Betas if you want but I always have more lick with the stable releases.

BTW, you can do this right off your phone, be sure to go to Settings>Applications> and check "Unknown Sources" so you can download apk's not from the marketplace
