Default Custom homepage apps disappear on reboot?

When I power off/on my phone, my customized homepage changes and some apps disappear. My phone is rooted, and the apps that disappear from my homepage are those that I store on my SD card. When I open the Applications screen and drag apps onto my homepage screen, why do the SD-stored apps disappear from the customized homepage screen the next time that I power off the phone? Iím not removing the SD card, but just powering off the phone. Is there a way to drag apps to the homepage and then select some sort of permanent SAVE feature? This is driving me nuts. I like to keep stuff on the SD card so I donít hog up phone storage, but this bug makes SD card storage not worth it. Am I doing something wrong?

I finally figured out that the homepage icons I was losing on every reboot were the ones I forced moved to the sd card using a separate move to sd app. to keep them from disappearing I moved them back to phone storage and now only move apps that can be moved by using the built in android app manager.
