Help with random icon appearing after app update...
I've tried my best to Google information about this problem. Usually I can narrow my search down enough to get results, but this one has proven to be difficult.
I have a Samsung Exhibit 4G (Gingerbread 2.3) and a couple of months ago I noticed a weird icon in the app drawer: com.forshared.(don't know the rest) - it happened right after I updated my 4shared app via the Market. It is the generic app icon (with the green guy on it) - but grayed out. When I try to click on it, it says "Application is not installed on your phone." After unsuccessful Google-ing, I decided I would just have to live with it (or Root, I guess.) Then...
It happened again, about a month later. This time the icon says "com.flikie.mini.(rest is cut off.) Same exact issues as with the first. I've tried uninstalling, then reinstalling, Deleted all folders/files/backup files associated with both apps.
I would like to try solving this without Rooting. Also, I don't use any launchers. Thanks...
