A Samsung representative said all four companies would have phones by late July or early August. AT&T, Verizon and Sprint all said Samsung had not yet told them when they would be allowed to start selling their phones.
I returned my Incredible. My choices are the X or the Samsung. I wish I could see them both in my hands and try them both out. Perhaps I can but the X and if I like the Samsung better, return the X for it?

im probably going to do what you said as well. I get bored of things way too quickly so I really need the flash a custom rom ability.

Since T-Mobile will be the first one to release their version. I would say wait till the Vibrant comes out because the exterior design and internals are mostly similar. It only comes out the week after the Droid X and I don't think Motorola has short supply of the phone unlike HTC does with almost every super phone they release.

yeah people take that as gospel one online source and thats when something is coming out. Until there is an official announcement or something more credible im just going to wait
NKT (?), a forum member with reliable VZW info, had said about 4 weeks ago that the Fascinate had entered testing phase and that typically phones are released 6-8 weeks after testing begins. That is the most reliable info I have seen.

If VZW is really planning a mid-late Oct release for the Fascinate, all I can say is WTF? I guess if I wait that long I will wait to find out what the HTC Merge is... Would love to upgrade to a smartphone on VZW, but not any of the current phones...

I don't see the Fascinate and Droid Pro being released in the same month. I have read in a couple of blogs and forums, so more rumor than fact, that the Droid Pro may be released later than initially planned, thus I can see the Droid Pro as a "Black Friday" phone and the Fascinate being released anywhere from mid September to mid October sort of midway between the Droid 2 and Droid Pro. But that is purely a guess.

They could be launched in the same month but i think verizon will try and release the fascinate a little before the droid pro so that more sales will go to the droid pro. Who knows though hopefully they just release the fascinate soon and stop waiting.

Idk what the big deal is i mean if you want a phone with a 10 mp camera then wait the extra month or so for that phone. There is always going to be something better right around the corner i just want the fascinate to be released so i can upgrade to that and i will get a 1 year contract because by this time next year something much better will be out and i can get that
