Download pics from pgone to PC

Hi
brand new forum member. Also, brand new Samsung Galaxy 551 phone.
was trying to download pics from the phone to a PC (running Windows XP). I used the standard usb connector. My PC recognises a new hardware and then tries unsuccessfully to find drivers.

Any idea how to solve this problem? thanks in advance

Install KIES .(Most useless software on earth),If that doesn't work,install custom USB drivers available on net.

.Are you going to install wallpapers from PC to phone or from phone to PC?

I can think of 2 ways to achieve what you ask :

1. like karandor said, Kies or the standalone USB drivers. I'd avoid Kies which adds useless software on your PC; as for the standalone drivers, you can get them there : [Driver] [28.03.2011] SAMSUNG USB Drivers for Mobile Phones +LATEST UPDATED VERSION+ - xda-developers

2. install Samba Filesharing on your android, so that you can access its SD Card content from your computer though the wifi.
