I am trying to set up facebook, it tells me that I can download facebook for android and when I try that, I am asked to enter my Google login details.
I try to but it tells me that the login details are wrong but I know they are not, what is going on. I am at my wits end......

I would try to log on from your PC. Once you are logged onto your Gmail account on your PC, try to change your password for the account.
Hopefully then when you try to log onto your Google account on your phone, it will work fine.

Default Sorted

Sorted it, I created a gmail account when I opened the Google account but linked the Hotmail account to it as I have been using that as my primary e-mail address for years. I have now added the correct gmail e-mail address to my phone.

Thanks
