Default apps in sd occupy internal storage

Hi, i came to know that apps in sd still occupy some space of internal storage by disk usage application. Can any body explain y this happning?

I've read this in an another thread. Each app will store its .odex files in the phone memory to speed up the boot process though the app is installed in SD. For more details about the odex and dex files refer,
