connect your phone to pc using data cable...
go to settings->wireless and network settings->tethering and portable hotspot
and enable USB tethering check box... and you should be able to access net on your pc
not sure of this feature is present in froyo or in 2.3.4 gingerbread but i have tested it on 2.3.6 and it works fine no extra app or software required to connect to the pc. just make sure the phone drivers are installed..
