voice data application

Hello All

Is there any application in this android world where i can command
my phone to go to my contact list so that i dont have to scroll
the long list.

It need not place a call at least if it can show me the name in that list
i can press the button to dial.

Dialing to some one specially when you are driving is almost a
impossible thing to do with a touch screen smart phone.

I have a samsung ace 5830i which has a voice search which searches list
on google but not my mobile. I think if samsung has not given that small
and convinent facility for smart phones. android apps should have some alternative which make things easy in the world.

Why don't you just type the name of the person you want to call in the dial pad?
for example: if you want to call or view someone's phone number, say JOHN, you just type 5646 and it will show you the number there.
