Default Kies & Ace

Well well, what a surprise NOT.

Just upgraded to latest Kies on my Win 8 pc; this device is not supported, please check your device and - SOD OFF!! Its a bloody Samsung Glaaxy Ace Its SUPPOSED to be supported. Kies is a bloody joke, This may well be my last Samsung EVER.

My phone is acting up and I want to back it up before I throw it in the local river.

It switches itself off in the midst of using the sat nav; it opens apps when I do not ask it too - what a damn waste of a supposedly good phone. When I make a simple phone call it does not let me hang up. I have to keep rebooting it to get it to speed up. Right - what was that HTC like that they are advertising, upgrade due in January ...........

There is an easy solution for all your troubles mate, ROOT! and throw away Kies.
Kies has always been a big joke from samsung, even without root, i have never used that software just because it never ever detects my phone.
There are better alternatives for everything you need. The only thing Kies is good for is that it provides drivers for the phone when i use the mass storage mode to connect with my pc via usb and copy all my files in the sd card. But now even the drivers are separately available.

The Samsung Galaxy Ace is an Internation/European Android phone with a 3.5-inch screen and 800MHz processor. Samsung describes it as minimal yet sophisticated and we'd have to agree. While the specs aren't top notch, the Galaxy Ace still co... Read More
