Samsung Galaxy Ace, cant access saved sim contacts
I have a galaxy ace and my contacts have all disappeared. I have tried going into contacts then opening the menu, then pressed, more, display options and have looked for sim there but cant find it. I have tried to add a new contact to my sim but it only lets me save to phone or gmail and not my sim anymore. The history of the calls and messages I have made and sent is still there but the people I haven't called since I got the phone can not be seen.
I have also tried to import from sd card but it doesn't find anything there. I have not got a back up of my contacts.
Can anyone help me get my contacts list back
