Default Can it be charged like phones?

I meant, Samsung Galaxy Camera is a neat and bold idead. A new pasture for gadget makers to try.

And with its ample screen size, it may be able to act as its own photo frame.

But to be able to act as its own photoframe, it needs to be able to be charged while its battery battery is in it. Otherwise it would rather be useless as such.

I wonder if it can be charged as such.

Anyone knows?

You would think that, but the similar Nikon Coolpix S800c android phone will not operate when charging. I think the main reason is so they can sell the funky A/C adapters that have a battery shaped object on the end of a cord (but at least you can get such an adapter :-).

Well, I got one, and it does indeed work just like all other android devices I've ever seen (except the annoying Nikon S800c). It has a micro USB plug, and it is perfectly willing to operate while it is plugged in and charging. The only annoying bit about trying to do this is that the USB port is smack in the middle of the hand grip.

Does anyone know if a spare battery/charging dock is available for it? I've been intrigued by this camera since it was announced a few months back.

The battery is a 1650 mAh Li-ion model number EB524759VA, you could search for that and see if a charger is available - I'm pretty sure spare batteries are not hard to obtain.

Thank you. Didn't find a charger. All sites I looked at said it's also compatible with the Samsung Focus S, Samsung Galaxy Attain 4G R920 and Samsung Rugby Smart.
