UPGRADE GONE WRONG! Samsung Galaxy 5 Please HELP. I'm NEW.
Hello guys. I am new. I need a lot of help and I hope someone can help me.
I was trying to upgrade my Samsung Galaxy 5 to a 2.3 android version which is gingerbread. I followed all the directions from the website.
after doing everything step by step and reeboting my phone will not start. it only show the samsung.com logo and then jumps to a android logo on small white letters. then it shuts down and it appears again. I do not know what to do now. someone please help. How can I go back to the old 2.1 and not mess around with it again? I hope someone can help. thank you!!!!!

What do you mean by root? Im not sure if i did that. I followed the directions from the this forum. I did everything more than 3 times and it still shows an off and on screen with the samsung samsungmobile.com and then a black screen with android written on it in small white letter. I am really scared that i broke the phone : / it was my first android and I wanted to update. is there anything i can do about it?

Anyone?!?!!? I know someone has to know here. I probably look stupid because I dont even know what root is. and The website were i got the directions says it was without rooting. I clearly dont know what to do and I am a newbie and I need some serious help. My phone is still not working and I am really pissed at myself. if anyone out there knows how to fix this please let me know.

As you see I wonder about your 2.3 android version because the last upgrade are 2.2 !!

The kernel is bootlooping In my opinion

Can you link the website so I can tell you where you may have gone wrong ?
