Where did my songs go?

Hello:

I was downloading some songs from my laptop to my Galaxy Fit through Kies. Kies showed that it transferred the songs to the device, but when I check I can't find them. I tried the process again and this time when transferring Kies asked whether I would like to overwrite the existent songs (to which I said yes). But again, I can't find the songs on my device.

So, where are these songs being stored? And, why can't I see them in the list of songs on the device?

Btw, the media files are all in wma format. Could this be a problem?

Edit: Is there any music playing app in Android that can play FLAC and other such formats without requiring conversions?

hello
when you transfer the songs in came to folder sounds in memory card, and when you open the music, there listed there, but I think this player can't open the Wma file, you can use winamp for android.

OK. But even when I used WinAmp I could not see all the songs. Some of the songs I could see, but not play.

Maybe I need to convert all my music to mp3 but that would take a lot of time and I am sure there will be some loss of fidelity.

Sense music player has built-in support for it.
or
All u have to do is edit the name of the song. Change WMA to MP3 & it will work find.

Thanks. But you have to explain this a bit. I did not understand a word of what you wrote. Is there a "sense" music player? I looked for it on the Market but found none. Maybe I missed it. If you can provide a link that would be very helpful.

Also, what do you mean by changing the name of the song? Renaming a file does nothing to change the format of the file does it?

I am having the same problems.
I moved mp3 songs to my SD card (music) folder but they won't show up on my android not even on the SD card when it is loaded in my phone. They show up on my SD card while it is my computer.
If I connect the phone to my car the songs show up and play just fine from a folder. Still I cannot find them on my phone or my Sd card when it is loaded in my phone.
