Default 2.1 XXJC5 released

Another update's been released!

XXJC5 is the latest in the more stable 2.1 leaked/beta releases. If you are running 2.1 beta than I recommend you upgrade to JC5 asap

Head to http://www.samsungfirmwares.com to download

Regards,
~Andrew

I'm just flashing now...

Yep working as it should do. Menus don't seem snappy though.

Same here!

Also... If the official stuff is still under progress, I wonder where these F/ws are coming from! If this is samsung, why would they even do so? Why would they even want those to be out before any proper official announcement. The same is true for different F/ws with different region codes. Why are there so many F/ws (>= 7 by now) with different different region codes this soon while even the basic performance issues are not resolved yet on say a generalized stock F/w.
(i'm talking here about the leaked eclair ROMs for i5700 pls).

On the other hand they have made available "Kies" which already has proven worth nothing. (leave apart devices running unofficial eclair ROMs)

htc are far brilliant in this regard. They move ahead with either "yes" or "no" kinda approach and are more transparent while dealing with customers. Take for example, htc tattoo which despite being low on hardware specs receiving upgrade to 2.1 very soon, samsung i7500 don't! Please i'm not comparing here samsung with htc but still how :-??

I simply do not understand the point with samsung! Things are really disappointing from their end.

Please correct me if I have any bad understanding of things.
