ive just forund this

Preview of Android 2.1 on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Portal|Samsung Release

so it looks like when the galaxy i5700 get released it will have 2.1 installed all ready

Get your grubby mitts on a Samsung Galaxy Portal with 3 - Broadband Genie

Pay Monthly, contract plans for 3G mobile phones & SIMs from 3.

Although all the phone shots are 1.5 and operating system version in 3 stats are blank!

Looks like T-Mobile's 3 month exclusivity has ended.
