I have Samsung Galaxy Pop

I have the latest version of kies installed. I have a message to upgrade the filmware version

PDA-KQ7/Phone-KQ7.....something like this

but when i upgrade it...it downloads the filmware components...then goes to a second screen...which says preparing filmware upgrade but after that the 3rd screen says downloading firmware...but it gets stuck at 0% only....
then it says driver was not installed successfully...Please help me how can i upgrade android version

There are people having problem with phones after upgrade...is it really safe to upgrade

Hi, i had the same problem on my MINI with upgrade via KIES too.

So I followed this manual: Samsung Galaxy Mini S5570XXKPK Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread Firmware (Official KIES Update Stock ROM ) ~ Android Solution

And after some time i choose to flash custom ROM.

I had the same problem while updating to 2.3.6. I tried 3 times but it stopped giving me errors. I flashed with 2.3.6 through odin then and it works fine.

Go to service center software update is free .. Also u will get official latest version 2.3.6 ..
