Default Phone number shows extra digit

My first post here as google didnt turn up any results.

When I text people my number shows up as normal for most of them, except for my mum. When i text her my number shows up as 0778 rather than 078, this means that to reply she has to go and find me in her contacts and cant just reply.
We've tried both deleting each others numbers and her texting me first and vise versa but it always comes up the same.

I have a samsung galaxy mini and she has a sony xperia.

Just wondering if anyone knows a way to get rid of this extra number.
