How could I, no name was given. I work for McKinsey & Company, Google us and find out what we do. You'll get a better understanding on why I say that a store manager isn't privy to this information.
I don't doubt your credentials and, actually, agree your general assessment , I just think your response was condescending.

Possibly 2 awesome devices on the same day! My wife will be less than thrilled when I lock myself in my office all weekend long!
Maybe she'll be happy that you've finally got your toys and can stop obsessing.

I'm mobile or I would link to a video or lyrics video.
Ahaha I listened to that on my way home last night and had the exact. same. though. Love the band and the song too. And I shall link to a lyrics vid for ya.

Unfortunately, this is just the start of the obsession...never rooted a phone before but want to do that asap on this one (freaking out about it though that I will do it wrong). May root the tablet (if the phone goes ok) but not sure if there is really a reason to yet.

I'm sorry that you took it as condescending. I've got a very straight forward personality and tell it like it is. There is already so much questionable information floating around the thread, that I felt I might as well point out the fact that people are wasting their time asking at the store level.

In that case, I hope you have a comfortable couch or chair in there. Lol.

If the Nexus is released that day I will have two new toys to play with. I already pre-ordered my Transformer Prime... Sweet... Come on Verizon, force me to make a decision which one I'm going to play with first!!

I kid. I have to agree
Haha, sorry. How about this. On the bright side, they probably have a release Pre-approved, just need to put in a date and its done. Phones are at the warehouse already staged per britishturbo, so they should be set up to move quickly if they want to

Daniel Bedingfield - Gotta Get Through This (Nexus Remix)
I gotta get through this
I gotta get through this
I gotta make it, gonna make, gonna make it through
I gotta take my, gotta take my mind off you
Give me just a second and I'll be all right
Surely one more moment couldn't break my heart
Give me 'til tomorrow then I'll be okay
Just another day and then I'll hold you tight
When rumors are pouring like the rain
I close my eyes and you're gone again
When will I get the chance to say I want you
I pretend that you're already mine
That my heart ain't breaking every time
I can't look at you with my eyes
If only I could get through this
Gotta help me get through this

Starts by talking about the OMAP4460 (which is in the Nexus) and how it saves battery life when rendering flash videos (1080p specifically) by running them mostly on the GPU (CPU will only be running at 5%).
A little off topic:
This video, which is also from ARMs channel, gives more insight into how the Linux kernel will deal with the big.LITTLE architecture, without app developers having to lifting a finger:
Just thought I'd share as I found it interesting that an SoC concept can hopefully deal with the poor battery life we see on ALL smartphones today. Who knows, maybe someone will invent a new type of battery which will also increase the time between charges...maybe then smartphones will last as long as those old Nokias.

I would not be suprised in the least that this was part of the holdup. Getting Verizon's Mobile Hotspot app on there. Man that pisses me off. Just like VZW did on the D3 with Gingerbread.

This was brought up a couple of hundred pages ago, but there is more information on the CarrierIQ spyware that apparently is getting installed on lot of android phones. Apparently some verizon phones come with it installed, but I haven't been able to find a list yet.

P3's tweet..
maybe its for rooted Gnex hope so i don't need to root and don't mind paying for tethering

Come on . . . this is Android we're talking about. Do you REALLY think that the developers at XDA or elsewhere will not get a working wifi tether going for this phone?
It's not even released to us here stateside yet and look at the hacks already.
and shakes head.

If ICS is like Gingerbread and that damn Mobile Hotspot app is on there, root does not help. On the D3 to get wifi hotspot to work, you had to hack the radio, but we cannot go into that here.

That's what you would think... Android - yes. VZW- nope. From what I know, at least on the D3, wifi tether will not work on Gingerbread, without a radio hack. I will tweet P3 and ask if Mobile hotpsot is going to be on the phone.
Unlike the GNex, a lot of Samsung phones don't have a notification light at all. Hopefully that's the reason why it doesn't work, rather than some kind of underlying issue with Samsung.
Good morning from Portland, OR. .......still nothing, I see......little voice in my head saying, "Let's move along here folks,.....there's nothing to see here.".....can I say crap????

If Verizon is having dismal sales then bringing on the GNex could only help, not hurt, sales. Also sales of individual phones hurt the manufacturer much more then the carrier. Moto sales and fourth quarter numbers are going to be hurt with lack of RAZR sales, Verizon only cares about getting people onto contracts, which brings me back to point one.
The reason they would push back the GNex to boost Q1 numbers would only be if Verizon's December numbers are much better then expected, not worse.
Had it about a year and a half. Great car. I may get another one if it gets totalled haven't decided yet.
Can't quite fully tell in this picture but if that motor is totaled then it probably will end up being totaled. I agree, it is an amazing car, very comfortable, great quality, and power:fuel consumption ratio.
