Something I noticed about the image that it has a modified date of "Wednesday, November 30, 2011 1:19:46 PM"

Does that have any significance? A recent upload perhaps?

It looks like they have been playing around with the website regarding the GNex today, adding compatible accessories (at least one). Also earlier today when I clicked on one of the accessories, and went to compatible device selector, the GNex was a choice. Now it isn't anymore. So wouldn't be surprised if these pictures were recently uploaded. Kinda interesting

Did you download the image to your computer? If so that ends up being the modified date IIRC because that's not my modified date (time).

I looked at the "lg" image of the galaxy nexus (inspected through firebug) and it's showing this, i just now looked at it, so it's not some "local thing":

Hmmm looks like pre-orders might start tomorrow if they are in fact uploading images to Verizon's site. Nothing on testman though at all -- I figured they would put those up first, but I will keep checking in randomly.

I've actually seen this happen before to other people and it's kinda funny. There have been good posts towards the end of a page that sometimes people miss because things move so fast here.

I thought it said somewhere that there was going to be no preorder, just launch on the 8th with maybe a days notice or no notice?

From 2004 through 2008, then again last year for a few months. When I was there, I got kind of sick of the "dust bowl" environment, but when you leave, you miss it.

As far as the file date guys, keep in mind that even if we somehow could know the modified date of the file on the server(how could you do that?), you'll still notice that the URL starts with "cache". That means it's very likely that this is a CDN with images that get refreshed periodically, so we can't glean much from the modify date.

Looking at the EXIF data now though, I'll let you all know.

Is that what the latest rumor is? No online ordering? I guess that would work.

Oh, BTW, our crappy doorman got fired! (He was caught with someone's new fed-ex'd laptop in his apartment.)

This new guy looks pretty straight. If I have to pre-order, I think I'll be okay.
