I think we all have resigned ourselves to the fact a press release from VZW is immenent which makes us all happy and a nice drink is in order. For me, would love a nice whiskey and cigar but the lady is home tonight so sticking w/ my Rua Beoir from Soos Creek Brewing Co.

My Fav is The Macallan single malt. The 12 year is usually in my price range when I indulge. When I win the lotto I'll be getting a bottle of the 30 year at $999 a bottle.
All the new rumors are getting me excited! I think I need to join in the libation. I'm a big single malt fan myself and Macallan is one of my go-to's. The 18 year is awesome, but I think the day I have the Gnex in hand I'll have to pour myself a glass of Glenrothes 1972. Something I bring out only on special occasions.

The OP states that news or info when significant will go into the OP - that's as far as anyone need go for updates.
From there, the OP expressly states by our site Admin, Phases, that this thread is _exactly_ to have some info and friendly banter, in the manner of a Lounge-like thread.
Hope this helps.
I thought this was a beer thread? Seems that is the perfect topic for the lounge thread.
And GOSH! What if someone here doesn't partake of alcohol is offended by all this drinking talk?

Greatest thread of all time
Since the theme for tonight is apparently "off topic" I thought I'd share this. Specially since everyone is drinking and in a jovial mood
No offense to Steven, AF, or any of you folks here but THIS is the greatest thread of all time. Read, ponder, and laugh hysterically. Boy that was a fun ride back then.

My Mom is sending me her old pink blackberry pearl to tide me over. I hope my old bb pearl flip will work (it had some water damage, but I think it was more battery related) with her battery (they're the same), or I will be using that phone sparingly until the nexus releases I hope 12/8, or that will be a painful 2-3+ weeks O_O
Measurements with and without the screen buttons are accounted for, and a little separate math predicting the actual final measurements - it's confirmed.
Steven - I think a link to that thread in the specs section of the OP is warranted.
What I want to know is why Google isn't getting that spec right publicly.

Sounds Tasty! I'd love to try it! But, I looked it up and at around $400+ a bottle, I'm going to have to wait till I graduate college and get a job! lol

Hope this isn't true. I wouldn't buy a phone with poor signal. The more negative things I hear about this, the more I wonder why I'm still waiting instead of buying a Rezound.
What does TBH mean? It doesn't work being used as "To Be Honest" in this context. Can anyone explain? Thanks
Team BlackHat...a team of devs...P3 was the first of the team to get the LTE Gnex(engineering device for testing) and then had one sent to the rest of his team...they've been testers for more than a few weeks now

If I'm not mistaken, P3's tweet last night said that 4.0.2 seem to help dramatically with signal
Edit...here's the text .. "okay, so todays update gave my 4.0.2 a newer radio, and so far I'm seeing improvement in reception. VZW users, know that thisgnex us getting better all the time"

The Rezound isn't perfect. Just read more and more people are complaining about interference while using headphones. A phone that a huge selling point was sound and music having this issues is not a good thing.

If signal is a concern for you the Rezound definitely shouldn't be your first choice. The Razr smokes the Rezound in this category.
But come Thursday and Friday I'll be drinking Whipped Cream Vodka and Orange Crush(dreamsicle, my favorite flavor)
That whipped cream vodka has really taken off recently among the ladyfolk here. At one point, everyone brought a bottle to the same party without knowing and of course we had about 3 left over just sitting here for a couple weeks. Personally, I don't get it, but it's huge. Beer and/or vodka clubs for me.

QFT for all smartphones. The makers need to step up their QA across the board as far as I'm concerned.
Good news, it's not on all Rezounds. Bad news is that it's on any of them.
Every new phone that comes out has lemony behaviors exposed.
More than pure Android, more than the perfect battery, I would really love for this kind of crap to just come to an end.
I think they're all getting better - but keep going makers, I want five nines (99.999% good).
FWIW - I trust users first. Warts and love stories, the whole Rezound enchilada, is here - HTC Rezound - Android Forums
These are just my opinions.

If this is true, it really is an odd thing that Google and Samsung are using the 4.65 measurement. Perhaps they're using that number for one or two reasons:
a) 4.7 may turn many people off?
b) they don't want to take the on-screen buttons into account (I know that math doesn't necessarily add up)
Your thoughts?

Get that tennessee whiskey crap out of this thread and try real whiskey, that being Kentucky baby (you see, I didn't capitalize tennesse in this statement).
Off-topic is fine, until we get sufficient reported complaints, or until it turns into a thread hijack.
The other guy is venting displeasure at most of my posts, I think it's disruptive, that's what I was asking to have at end.
I'll be hitting beer-thirty myself in no time and I think watching Episode IV is a must.
How's that?
Cool. Glad I didn't cross the line. I figured we were close at hijacking the thread though with all the alcohol posts.
When I catch a hint that the thread is starting to be hijacked, or that people are starting to get annoyed, I usually try to back off on being too off topic.

How inconsiderate of us out East, forgetting that it's not even post-office hours for the country. Sorry to tempt you so early.
On topic for a second - that enlarged screen size, does it include the space that turns into the home/back/apps buttons? Or is that just the screen's viewing real estate?
