Well its about time for me to go as well now. I will no longer comment about shit for devices or Android and you can say Thanks to the **** head who has chosen to ruin a good thing for the ENTIRE android community. I have tried to help and tell people FACTS not sling bullshit lie so many so. Yet someone has decided to start a nightmare and I will not put up with the SHIT. But what difference does it make if you get the phone but can't activate it?
Would I like to activate the phone immediately? Of course, but I'd still be doing back flips if I got the phone now and had to wait. As soon as VZW flipped the switch I would activate it.
In the meantime I could play with it in wifi mode and I could live with my old Droid for phone calls.
if it's true that p3 is leaving because of leak crack down. I have a sliver more hope for friday, if the Third Reich(Verizon) really wants complete control.

While I wouldn't wish an investigation on anyone, especially a developer, you know what they say about karma...
P3's constant trolling, name-calling, and attitude are likely what got him into trouble. And if this is an investigation and its because of Nexus info leaking, he did that to himself. For months he posts on Twitter about how he has someone on the inside, and he teases for Twitter followers, gets everyone in a tizzy, and for what? All for attention. Well, craving attention is likely what got him into trouble.
Nobody to blame but himself.

ok taking a step back wasn't there a leaked pic on one of the android development sites that was taken down promptly. This is truly starting to look like a gearing up of VZW wireless putting the screws down on these leaks. They have completely tightened up their website and sealed all leaks except for a few CSR ones here and there. The speculation on why is anyone's guess but to me it is obvious VZW decided to drop a hammer.

Okay, I told you all there would be good news at 8 PM EST and here it is! While it may not be good news for you personally, if this doesn’t give you a warm and fuzzy feeling all over, then I’m not sure what will… other than maybe a Nexus in your hand
Well folks, we did it – thanks to YOU!
In this season of giving, I think we can all agree that we have received a great deal of enjoyment, entertainment and information from what started as a single Pre-Release post on August 23rd. We are now past 68,000 posts in this thread, the receiving is just about over… and it’s high time we gave something back.
A quick disclaimer and apology to those who wanted to participate and would have, but didn’t know about it: I am profusely sorry. But please understand that we were somewhat restricted in who we could contact and how. So if we managed to do all this without almost anybody knowing… then, actually, it was a raging success.
Let's face it: Moderating a forum is tough work. Moderating an EPIC forum - with tens of thousands of posts and over a MILLION views is really tough work!
And while we would never intentionally want to slight EarlyMon, OTD or any of the other Mods in the thread, I think almost all of us can agree that STEVEN58 has been our Main Moderator and go-to guy from post #1 of this record breaking thread.
No amount of hitting that “Thanks” button can ever adequately show our deep appreciation for the time and extraordinary effort Steven has put into moderating us, keeping us updated, keeping us (mostly) on topic, and keeping us off each other’s throats.
(Except OTD, who actually enjoys being at other people’s throats… but that’s a different story… )
Steven58 has done such an incredible job as lead Moderator in this monumental and record-shattering thread that many of us did the unthinkable. We snuck around. We PM’d one another. We got RARE permission from Rob & Phases to do something that, to my knowledge, has never been done… and may never happen again. So, with further ado…

A bunch of us chipped in and we’re buying you your Galaxy Nexus!
That’s right! We messaged one another, whispered behind your back, scrounged up spare change from our sofas, and contributed to the cause. And we gathered up enough money to get you your beloved Nexus!
And while I may have done the legwork and gathered the dimes and quarters, I can’t take credit for the idea. You can blame a kind-hearted Premium Member named jruther2 for that one. He approached me, I approached Phases, who consulted with Rob and gave us rare permission to proceed under limited conditions. Conditions were met and our objective was achieved!

I can see it being one of 2 things:
1. Someone ratted on him about leaking software and selling it for profit or
2. Someone ratted on him about talking about the nexus.
Either way whoever did it is really lame if it is because the nexus didn't launch yet. If it is because of option 1 then well that is something he had to know could happen by selling the software that wasn't "his" Who knows what it is though.

Just went to my second Verizon store and talked to a really cool tech junkie. He said meet me by the tablets and then he came out with the Nexus. We had to be discrete because of the manager.
It was awesome! Fits perfectly in my hand. Not much thicker than the RAZR. He confirmed they have a bunch of phones and accessories in stock and the Friday launch was scrubbed. He said they can't sell ANY 4G phones right now because the network has to be up and running to program the 4G phones.
He's holding one for me at $250. Hopefully next week.
I know what he told you but I think thats not entirely true. They could sell and activate a 4G phone in their system, but it just wouldnt get 4G service until that network comes back on. Reason I say that is Radio Shack was still selling 4G phones today.

Stopped by my Local VZW (not corp.) store today after getting a text from the sales manager that the GNex has arrived...here's a photo...sorry for it being so blurry but i was so dang excited i was actually shaking...let me just say from the 5 or so minutes i plalyed with the phone it is definitely worth the wait...the phone felt nicely built and not to large at all(currently have the OG)...screen was beautiful and the camera was FAST...nothing new here but this phone is excatly like everyone's reported..freakin' Awesome is the Galaxy Nexus!!!
On another note earlier in the day he confirmed the 9th...but about 1.5hrs later said scratch that and they still had no clue when they could sell me the phone!
ps...the guy in the background was one of the salesman just getting off work...that's why his shirt is untucked!?!
