Somewhat optimistic, but there is still time for Verizon to change its mind and tell these sources something different, so I wouldn't pop the champagne corks yet.
And still no sign of any Verizon advertising, it's a travesty if they release an android flagship phone with no fanfare, and I doubt google is going to want to launch 5.0 or whatever on their network the next time. It's far enough away from the razr launch now that they could focus their marketing efforts on the nexus.
Ive said it before Ill say it again. This is the last nexus we'll see on verizon.

same here, got an opthalmologist appointment at 8am, hospital orientation at 930 for a hospital Ill never physically go to at 930. Hopefully be done with all that by 1200 or so and be able to scrounge up a nexus somewhere if they actually go on sale.

If I was going to Europe for six months I would want a DSLR. Even an entry level one will blow away a phone camera.
Without question! If I'm going on vacation, or anywhere out of the norm, my Nikon D5100 is along for the ride. Europe? Without a doubt, I would not be relying on the camera on a phone. Convergence only takes you so far, if you want to produce something of quality, often you HAVE to go with a dedicated device.

I was told by a Verizon rep that the 15th was the date last Friday, but I am a little worried there's not one single leak with a image showing that email or Verizon screenshot.
Same except on Thursday. However it was "communicated by regional manager verbally" was the story I got. That came from someone who I would consider a great friend. So I feel certain that he is telling me the truth. Obviously that can all change in the blink of an eye however. Also very possible the person telling him that has no actual idea as well.

I really doubt Verizon is going to update the equipment guide with a release date until wed. evening. I don't think there will be an announcement at all, and if they decide to it won't happen until wed. evening.
Calling Verizon CSR asking questions is not going to provide any new info...they are being kept out of the loop on this release because of what happened during the last release date.
That's my opinion.....

I stopped at a Corporate Verizon and they said they weren't sure when it was coming out. The reason I stopped in Verizon was to ask about making a purchase over the phone whenever it does release since I used my last vacation day on the 9th and now have to work this Thursday. I was told no problem as long as you have a bill to on you account. I assume that means a credit card, not sure, but he checked my account and said I was good. So if any of you have to work that day (hopefully the 15th) this may be an option to make sure you get yours.

So, I called my nearest Verizon corporate store today and talked with a CSR there who said that they had the phone in stock and the launch had been delayed. He said that the phone would be available Thursday.

i live in new hampshire and tried the code while upgrading to the rezound and it said it was invalid. also couldnt get freeovernt code to work either fwiw.

I'm seeing lots of people saying that they're "making appointments" with their VZW stores. Is this really necessary? I can't think of a store, even here in downtown Boston, that would be so busy (especially at 8 AM, which is when I'll be going) that an appointment would be needed.

I live in Michigan, called 3 stores in the Ann Arbor area, and none would honor the promotion. One woman told me that VZW doesn't use promo codes and the CH4GE wasn't something that Verizon would put on a promotion... ugh!

I called *611 and talked to Regina. She could not find the promotion listed in her computer. She said if it wasn't listed under my account then I was not eligible. I asked her if there were any other promotions that I could use. I was placed on hold (2 min). She returned and said "yes, sir you can use that promotion. She said that it is in addition to my $50 loyalty discount, but expires Dec. 31. Galaxy Nexus now $149.99(if it drops this year)

Ok, gotta share (so i got the phandroid app...im officially addicted to you people...)
Anyways, did the final bit of xmas shopping for the gf. Right outside victorias secret is a vzw corporate kiosk. So i talked to the nice man there about the phone. He HAS them, but the official word for release has not trickled down. Long story short, he gave me the demo unit without my asking.
First impression: wow. It feels simply amazing in the hand, and feels as solid of construction as my OG Droid. I think the screen is phenominal. The keyboard is amazingly responsive.
Gripe? Underwhelmed by the camera. Then again, the blur i noticed was likely due to me shaking in excitement.
I will probably buy from this guy, simply because he was no-nonsense. And its close to work, can grab it before punching in!
So theres my story...

Usually when Steven or another MOD update the title they also update the OP so take a look at that and it will usually have info and or links there for you to check out.

You're right and it's all speculation and he can change it to whatever he wants. But you lose credibility and respect every time. He could change it to a thread about cats for all I care, I just come here for Galaxy Nexus Information and Speculation. But that means if you want to be the best and be the front runner (which at the moment we have been and regardless of my opinion's AF will probably maintain) then you should Vet your info a bit more and should post what you know not let emotions run wild and start posting what you hope/want.
It's all rumors. But taking a rumor saying "yup, looks like more rumors/info leaning towards the 15th" and translating that into "THURSDAY IS THE DAY" is a far stretch, especially regarding our knowledge of history on this phone and Verizon Wireless.
I just want the information that comes through AF to be credible and realistic. If that's not the case, then take the forums where you want. I'll just go find a better website or thread that knows how to take their emotions out of it and post the facts so that I can get as much unbiased information about when I can actually expect this phone.

I went to Radio Shack Sunday. I asked about the GNEx. The first lady knew nothing. Then a manager came up and told me to come with him. In the back of the store was a room with a cage that was locked. Sure enough there was only one Gnex in a white box. The manager was very nice and let me play around with it. He even called his District Manager to see if he could sell it to me. I still don't have my phone so you know what they answer was.

The csr I talked with specifically said it would apply to any 4g smartphone including the Gnex.

The rep I talked to said that his district manager is making them setup appointments for the Nexus. Not sure why either, regardless, I have one at 9 am.....I'm actually really interested to see how many people are actually there.
