No offense to the source or anyone. But we have no more confirmation today than we have for any other day. Please just stop messing with people and hyping this up. There have been at least 4 dates that you have said confirmed before. I don't have time to sift thru hundreds of pages of posts and I kind of live by the title/updates. So it's a giant bummer to see a title like that only to see that the same person that confirmed 2 other dates is now confirming a 3rd.

You're right and it's all speculation and he can change it to whatever he wants. But you lose credibility and respect every time. He could change it to a thread about cats for all I care, I just come here for Galaxy Nexus Information and Speculation. But that means if you want to be the best and be the front runner (which at the moment we have been and regardless of my opinion's AF will probably maintain) then you should Vet your info a bit more and should post what you know not let emotions run wild and start posting what you hope/want.
It's all rumors. But taking a rumor saying "yup, looks like more rumors/info leaning towards the 15th" and translating that into "THURSDAY IS THE DAY" is a far stretch, especially regarding our knowledge of history on this phone and Verizon Wireless.
I just want the information that comes through AF to be credible and realistic. If that's not the case, then take the forums where you want. I'll just go find a better website or thread that knows how to take their emotions out of it and post the facts so that I can get as much unbiased information about when I can actually expect this phone.

NH love! I have seen a few folks from Boston here but no one else from the Granite state.
I'm seeing lots of people saying that they're "making appointments" with their VZW stores. Is this really necessary? I can't think of a store, even here in downtown Boston, that would be so busy (especially at 8 AM, which is when I'll be going) that an appointment would be needed.
My corporate VZW store is usually packed any time I wander by. I'll probably be going to a re-seller though since those stores don't seem to exist to anyone else.

I respect your opinion man but I honestly don't think we will ever have anything more then rumors in here until the actual release. The only way this can be confirmed is if VZW releases some PR which I highly doubt will happen.
Called and explained the promotion, couldn't find anything for a good 10-15 minutes. Rep told me all he could find was something to do with broadband, not phones. Gave him this code and he was able to apply it to my account.
I do agree emotions and hype get in the way of unbiased and responsible reporting about phones. But it's not just a problem here, but across the entire online world of smartphone sites, blogs, forums etc.
Either way. thanks Steven for the title update. I just am getting tired of the wait myself and can't stand the roller coaster as much myself any more. I can just taste it....
Anybody know what shipping service Diztronic uses on their TPU cases? I ordered one today and am wondering if it will make it for Thursday morning.
Amazon was running a free month of Amazon Prime last week, which gave you free 2 day shipping. That's how I got mine...not sure if it is still going, check it out.
I have a DX right now and I was at the verizon corporate store earlier and they let me play with the GN demo, it was awesome. The thing that I liked most about it is the size, its about the same size as my dx yet it fits better in my hand (average size hands), that was a relief . I played with the phone for about 15 minutes, tested a lot of things including face unlock, camera (it was really good and amazingly fast). I asked for the release date and I got the usual "we don't know". I forgot to ask if they had stock in the back.

No real news from me, I'm a quiet lurker, but the manager of Radio Shack put my name on the only one they had, he said he would call me the minute they can sell one. Super stoked, Th-Fr are my days off so I'm secretly hoping it doesn't drop sooner so that I have two full days to cuddle with it.

I was out and about and decided to pop into VZW. This is the first time I've actively inquired about the phone. The check in lady didn't know what I was talking about but the salesman that overheard me asking told me the 15th is the day. I asked if he's seen a high demand in the area and if I should be here early on Thursday and he said that they have 30 in the back and that he thinks I should be fine whenever I decide to come in. I'll be going in Thursday morning regardless (assuming I can get it off work). I then asked him if they had any demo units and he promptly said no and that he hadn't even seen it yet. Then he told me that the RAZR was a better phone and that it's funny because of how much hype the Nexus has had. I kind of chuckled while my girlfriend said that no one would be happier than her for this phone to come out. We then walked out. FWIW, everything the sales guy said had kind of an arrogant tone to it.
I visited my Corp store today and seen a different story than some are reporting and some of the same.......
Same = The Cheshire Cat, bald face lie that there are none are stock. I think I can bet on the deception because I do criminal defense interviews and have seen most of it all. I wish I had been videoing it.
I asked about Thursday and got the usual IDK.
I then asked why there was no dummy phone? He said let me check and went to a manager. They both did a take on me and I got the denial. No dummy phone. I was wide open for a "Give the dummy a phone" heh!
I then tossed in a curve ball asking what he expects on Thursday morning in comparison to an Apple iPhone release. "Oh, it will be a longer line than an iPhone release believe me". I then whispered so his boss could not hear me say he just told me there will be a Nexus line on Thursday morning. He blushed like a school girl.
What was different? = I have been in that store many times and there are never more than 3 reps and 2 tech counter persons.There were 11 Red Shirts on the Floor! It was 5 PM and I was the only customer. HuH!
All the above said, Nothing Will Surprise Me what ever happens.

Does Verizon offer any type of option to add the upgrade/phone amount to your monthly bill in order to split up the $300?
Yeah, just tell them to bill it to your account. A lot of in store reps don't like to because it screws with their comission, but they can do it. I don't think they offer payment plans or anything, but it is not like they have late fees either unless you are REALLY late.

I read somewhere that the Ultra-Oleophobic has a slight matte finish. Can you confirm or deny this rumor?
On my incredible i had the anti glare/fingerprint Steinheil which was completely matte. This one is so much nicer, much less than the other ones. Its hardly noticeable to me. I am coming from the old anti fingerprint, so its amazing for me. I honestly ordered this one because it was the only option, but I am happy with it.
I'd say wanting them to return his phone is more about getting in trouble for selling it early than the phone being cancelled entirely. Though I wouldn't rule that out the way this launch has gone. First evidence of stores sending their stock back, Im ordering a rezound.

Just got to my part time....it's BONUS NIGHT!!!!!!! This pays for the rest of Nyxie! (yes, my phone is starting off as female due to a learning curve and needing to learn what she likes. In about 20 months I expect to be calling it Nixed due to a second change from frustration.)
Maybe I just got a bad CSR, but she could not get CH4GE to work at all. I was on the phone for 40 minutes and on hold for about 10 of it.. I told her it was in the Midwest region and had a 3g phone..yada, yada. Oh well, maybe I'll just have to pay up like everybody else. I can't fault her for effort, though.. She made sure to tell me that she noted my account "Wants galaxy nexus"
I tried calling VZW to apply the $100 discount, but they said I had to order from a local (Chicagoland) store. I'm planning to upgrade in MA, but my billing address is in the Chicago area...
Never did he ask for a promo code. Am I missing something here? He said he couldn't apply it to my account...but I was eligible because my residency is in IL
