I called *611 and asked them about the "Midwest regional 3g to 4g $100 off rebate", they knew nothing. Gave him the code and he instantly found it, gave me the details, and was on my way.
Also, I had 2 CSRs CONFIRM that the device was planned and supposed to launch Friday the 9th, but due to the outage, it was pushed back. They wouldn't say when it was supposed to launch, but my local store said the 15th.
To summarize it all up: Call *611, press 0, say "upgrade", then ask about the "Midwest regional 3g to 4g upgrade promo for $100 off rebate." They will search, most likely not find anything, then give them the code "CH4GE". They will find it, and tell you it must be applied when you purchase the device, but you can have them note your account with the code.
Just like that, the Nexus becomes even better
Thank you! I had called and was denied, but after reading this I tried again. The CSR found it right away and then put a mock order through to see what would happen. It didn't apply it, so she said I would have to bring the mailer with me, but that she did note it on the account. Not holding my breath, but maybe I'll be ok since she did note it in the account. *fingers crossed*
I'm excited so I have to report this somewhere, and since I've been interacting with you guys pretty much non-stop for a while now I'm reporting it here. I am officially DONE with school. All assignments in, finals done, and graduation is on Friday. I have my glass of wine in hand ready to toast any other soon-to-be graduates and even those just ending a semester. Here's to being done! \(^_^)/

Is it anyway possible to use that coupon code "CH4GE" in east coast region?

Just called a local store for an unrelated issue, and got some non-news.
After dealing with my issue, I mentioned that I was hoping to come in Thursday for my upgrade. The woman said that she didn't know of a confirmed release date yet, but that she's had all her training on it so she expects it to be any day now.
Will keep my fingers crossed that we'll get some official confirmation from Verizon tomorrow!

Well, as long as we're talking about naming our phones... mine will be called Ginny
Anyone else naming their Nexus?
Most definitely. Leaning towards Ossa, Greek Goddess of rumor in honor of all the rumors about this phone.. from the specs to the release date to the name to if it is a pure Google experience.. everything about the phone's been rumored.

Alright everyone I got the 100$ off after talking to a 611 rep. He was probably the most helpful rep i have ever talked to actually. Anyways...
THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED TO TELL THE CSR
search "3g to 4g smartphone promo" in the "doorways" system.
This is how the rep said he found it. I talked to 2 other CSRs in the past who had no idea what I was talking about. Below is a screenshot of the text the rep sent to me. From what he told me, this seems to be something they are running for most everyone. Also I was told that it expires on the 31st, not the 25th

One thing concerns me here:
Everyone's talking about stacking their discounts. I know the LivingSocial voucher states that it can't be used with any other promotion. So what happens if you can get only ONE?
The loyalty discount, the employee discount, the LivingSocial voucher, OR the CH4GE? What if you can't combine them?
I guess I'd better do some math to see which one saves the most money on the phone... then use a second transaction for the accessories, using the second best method.
Is anyone here able to confirm that they did, in fact, successfully stack these things?

Just wanted to share my latest story:
Just called up my local Verizon in downtown DC and asked for an appointment on Thursday morning. Guy asked for my name, number, and asked what I wanted the appointment for. I told him the Galaxy Nexus and he said, "Okay, you can come in first thing Thursday and get it."
Sounds pretty positive to me, but like with this whole thing, I'm just waiting until it's definite. Fingers crossed!

Has anyone who's successfully gotten the go-ahead on the $100 promotion upgrading with an annual upgrade, or is everyone in NE2 territory (at least 20 months into the contract). I am 18 months into my contract, so I'm eligible to upgrade at the normal new contract price, but my last NE2 discount ($30) isn't valid until February. I want to get the $100 discount, but don't know if they'll give to to someone who's in the annual upgrade time frame.

I called Verizon back with the CH4GE code you posted and got the $100 3G to 4G discount added to my account. He asked me where I got it and o told him a friend got it in a mailer they sent out.
Edit: And FWIW the guy told me it will be out on Friday.
Just a follow up:
It is possible to get this. I spoke to a very nice gentleman named Carlos on the phone and explained to him the situation, He gladly said I fit into the catagory (I live in Phoenix so I dont lol) and graciously placed a note which he read out-loud to me that the store should see and grant...
Hopefully this thursday!
Thanks again to the best forum ever!

its worth the effort to me, $100 is nothing to sneeze at under my roof
Oh it's a lot for me, too. First year out of college, student loans to pay off, getting married next summer. That's why I'll be calling Verizon every hour tonight. Hoping to score $50 LivingSocial, $100 3G to 4G, and my $50 NE2 credit for a final price of $125 + tax.

I full expect someone on the east coast to PM me or send me a Tweet Thursday morning and let me know if Best Buy is selling the Nexus. That is if it isn't on the website Thursday at midnight.
Called once about the rebate - nope no such thing, must be a third party thing.
Called again, much nicer girl - yep I see that in our system right here.
I asked if it could be applied to my account. She said that she can note the offer in my account but cant really apply it. Sounded like I would have to go to a corporate store too, which i have none within 45 minutes. Does anyone know if the authorized retailers would be able to apply the rebate? May not be worth the drive after gas/time.

I was able to get them to note it in my account (I'm in California), but she did say I should bring the mailer with me. Not sure if she also mentions that in the notes or not.
Try again. I was told we ARE eligible but I am not due to the line that has the upgrade already having a 4G phone on it. Glad to see another from the 504 on here finally.

ONE PHONE TO RULE THEM ALL...SGN
Just checking in to see what's up. Great to hear Thursday is the day. No time to chat tonight I'm seeing Alice Cooper at the Taft Theater in Cincinnati!
I would also really like to know what other people's experience with this has been. My loyalty date is also 12/29. I have talked to a few people from VZW online and on the phone and all the online people say you have to call about that. All the phone people say they absolutely cannot move up a discount date.
I find it kind or ridiculous that they cannot move the date 2 weeks. I thought I remember someone in the past saying that the loyalty department has a different phone number, but trying to search for anything in this thread is like trying to find a needle in a haystack.
Don't know if anyone answered this yet. If so, sorry. My upgrade is the 28th. I called last week to complain that my incredible has been acting up since the update (very frequent low memory error, random reboots, etc...) I told her I wanted to upgrade to a 4g phone when it was time but since I was having problems due to "their" upgrade I wanted to know if it was possible to move it up now. I told her I was waiting for the nexus, she said that they could move the date up but there were two catches. One was that I wouldn't get the $30 discount, I would have to pay full upgrade price ($299). The other was that I had to buy it over the phone with her. She said they order it as an "exception". She basically sunk my plan. I was going to have them move my date up, then wait for the phone and buy at Best Buy ($250+ store credit). I may give it one more shot but I will most likely wait till December 28th now. I suggest calling and complaining about technical difficulties. Should hopefully work in your favor, especially if you have an incredible and blame it on the recent update. Good luck.
No Joke. and as excited as we have been before. I said this back then a few times. Please don't put "THURSDAYS THE DAY" in the title if it's not verizon official.
No offense to the source or anyone. But we have no more confirmation today than we have for any other day. Please just stop messing with people and hyping this up. There have been at least 4 dates that you have said confirmed before. I don't have time to sift thru hundreds of pages of posts and I kind of live by the title/updates. So it's a giant bummer to see a title like that only to see that the same person that confirmed 2 other dates is now confirming a 3rd.

I got denied via email for the $100 off. She said it was for Chicago only. That's strange considering I'm seeing people outside of Chicago getting it. i don't know if I should try again or not. Anyone in NC have any luck with this?
